That's why I don't mind it in the Nolanverse so far. It was early Batman stuff and there would be time for Robin later. But now it's the last movie and it's well into Bruce's career as Batman. Time to have his inner darkness start overwhelming him and necessitate the intervention of a certain bright, bouncy young ward to balance him out.

And you say that the franchise has made billions of dollars without Robin like there's some correlation there. Robin simply happened to not be there. If he were and the movies were as high in quality, I doubt they would've instantly fallen completely flat with audiences.

Like I said earlier, it could be the fact that the city got fu**** up by the Joker and have the city turn on Batman after Batman was forced to say he killed Dent. That causes everyone in Gotham to slowly but surely lose their sh**.

I liked that Batgirl CGI show that had at the end of Brave and the Bold. They shoulda used that model for the new Batman show.....but you know, I'm still gonna watch it.
