I've had my Walkman for only a year, and it's already dying. I have to adjust the charger a certain way for it to charge, and the sound is starting to come out all staticy.

Anyone got any recommendations for an mp3 player? Keep in mind, I like to keep my mp3 player separate from my phone because I listen to mp3s all night at work and I like my phone to always have a charge.

You'd be surprised. In most metropolitan Asian countries, pedestrian don't always have the right of way. There are some laws which charge the pedestrian in an accident involving said pedestrian and a motorist.

Oh man, I think I have just the thing for you. It's this newfangled gizmo called an iPod, made by this company called Apple. I don't know if you've heard of them, but they seem to be doing some interesting stuff. You should take a look at 'em.

I heard about the eye-pods. Apparently, you can put a whole buncha tapes worth of music on there. I haven't heard if they work when you jog though, or if they skip a bunch. Also, those AA batteries get expensive after a while.

Very funny, jackasses. My Walkman is a 16GB mp3 player. Sony's just using the same brand name as their old cassette and CD players.

Anyway, I was wondering if there was a decent alternative to the iPod Nano. Maybe one that's cheaper and is bigger than 2.5 square inches.

Agreed. Drag and drop was so much easier and iTunes tends to bug out on a Windows OS.

Yeah, as irritating as Apple fanboys can be, the iPod really does corner the market on mp3 players for very good reason. Why are you trying to avoid getting one of them?

Oh God yes. iTunes just seems like more work than necessary and yes, it always craps out on me for some reason. "What do you mean I have to add all 3,000 of my songs again?!"

Why do you hate Apple Darth

Well let me begin by saying I think Apple makes great products. However, I hate the fact that most of their stuff is seemingly overpriced even though they have people somewhere in China throwing themselves off buildings making them dirt cheap (Before anyone says anything I know most companies are involved with Foxxcon and related industries). So you're essentially paying over the moon for a style product and the Apple name. We as consumers are most at fault for buying them in the first place.

They also have this tendency of creating reasons to buy stupid dongles and what not. "USB? Pffft. Yeah right, here's this 30 pin dock connector that only works on our devices."

Also, their iPod headphones are the worst.

My iTunes refuses to detect my iPod if it's already plugged in when I start my computer. I have to unplug the USB cord and plug it back in. Meanwhile, Apple's stupid device detection thing is running in the background the whole time. I see you there in my task manager, Apple device detector! Lurking. Not doing your goddamn job. Eating up a tiny, tiny part of my PC's resources.

And when it comes to phones I love my HTC Inspire over the Iphone. While the iPhone is safe and more reliable, I can do more with the Inspire.
