Batman Forever(Two-face joker hybrid wtf)
Batman and Robin
not counting animation, tho if I did I'd rate under the red hood atleast the same level as Phantasm. dont you dare tell me that the ending with Young Jason wasnt even a little sad.

Under The Red Hood was pretty good I thought. It was pretty well written and Black Mask got some really good lines

And yeah some of the Jason scenes made me cry :csad:

They were clearly all on acid at the time. Hence the neon lights all over the place.

All that neon is there to try and distract you from Tommy Lee Jones awful acting with shiny things

Its the only superhero animated movie thats made me cry. Jason's tragedy was heartbreaking and I wish he and Bruce got more interaction in the comics. the whole father/son dynamic between the two is gold. also phantasm was just brillent as DCU batmans year one tho.

Mask of the Phantasm was a fab Batman story

I thought it was a shame they never brought Andrea back in the cartoon

They did. Much much much later. In Epilogue in JLU. It was a cameo but for the older viewers or more familiar fans, you'd recognize Andrea's Phantasm outfit.

Does anyone remember the name of the comic book that was a superhero parody made in 70s or early 80s that Grant Morrison clains Alan Moore literally ripped off to make Watchmen?

Are you talking about Superfolks? Yeah, apparently Morrison made that claim, but Moore acknowledged influence of that book

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superfolks

Grant Morrison wrote an article in Speakeasy #111 and "n the span of a few paragraphs, Morrison implies that Alan Moore stole the plots for 'Marvelman,' 'Watchmen,' and 'Superman: Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?' from Robert Mayer's relatively obscure novel."[2] When asked about the influence of Superfolks, Moore said that he had read it at some point before writing Marvelman but that "it was by no means the only influence, or even a major influence upon my output. I’d still say that Harvey Kurtzman’s Superduperman probably had the preliminary influence, but I do remember Superfolks and finding some bits of it in that same sort of vein."[3]

I just read over that article, too, pretty interesting. He kind of rips Morrison a new one really.

I thought he ripped off that episode of Outer Limits. What was it? Hmmmm. Had Robert Culp in it...

Can't member.

:ff: :ff: :ff:

You have to love Alan Moore :awesome:

Fun on a bun

He didn't sound crazy in that interview, he was just defending himself matter of factly from an attack on his rep. He even said that Grant Morrison admitted later on that he was just trying to make a name for himself doing that, attacking a more famous writer.

and as for the talk of what the writers of BF were thinking...that was actually the first BM movie that had direct influence from the modern comic books, the first two Burtons never felt like they had much of a comic book influence in them at all, bar the basics. That's what I liked about it, it actually felt a bit more like the Batman from the books, of course, it was still nowhere as good as a Batman should have been, but we had to wait a while for those films.

No you don't, I have read a thread on a comics board with many folk attacking the guy. But, whatever you may think of him and his opinions, it's nice to have someone like him around who will speak matter of factly, speak their mind, so of course, some people like him for that, as it can be quite a rare quality in people.

Is that the one where the stage the UFO attacking the White house in an effort to get Russia and America to put off the Cold War? Yeah, I remember reading about that, Moore said someone (Gibbons, maybe?) mentioned it to him and apparently there is some type of homage to it that he wrote in the later issues of Watchmen. I forget exactly what it was and where, though.

Yeah. That's the one. It mostly revolves around Robert Culp's transformation into a "Thetan". I've had it playing in the background since I posted it.

Great show and series. God, I love old sci-fi and horror.

:doom: :doom: :doom:

It's at the end of the novel when Nite Owl and Silk Spectre visit her mother, it's on television. :p

Aye, in the comic you just see a wee speech bubble coming out of the tv in the background announcing it iirc, in the movie you see the episode starting up on the tv screen.

I've always wanted to see that episode, glad you posted it up, thanks, I'll watch it later on.

Wow there is a third Harold and Kumar movie coming out this year I just noticed

They are like the modern Cheech and Chong except better because they have Neil Patrick Harris
yea last summer they were filming outside of my store in Detroit. it was so weird having Christmas stuff everywhere in the summer time lol.
