so ridley and tony scott are going to make "gettysburg" for the history channel to tell the story of the battle and what it was like for a soldier during the civil war using re-enactment footage. i think i liked that movie better when it was called...still "gettysburg". i mean really, would it cost the history channel that much to just air the movie at this point?

I love the new Spidey suit. Well, except for the shoes. But I think about it a bit and it sort of makes sense. I mean, if you were falling/landing from great heights, wouldn't you want a little more than just spandex on your feet for support?

I don't have super strength, and in any case, Spider-Man's wall-crawling powers aren't supposed to work through thick fabric or rubber, hence his costume being so thin.

Spidey's feet are probably tougher after years of doing just that while essentially barefoot. For those of us who are real, our feet are softer than they should be due to our tendency to wear shoes.

And since this reboot is probably based in something similar to our reality, and this Spider-Man is just starting out, I'd say the shoes might make some sense then.

yeah, the shoes are the real make or break for me about a guy who can do what ever a spider can.
