Not much to lament in rugby at the moment. Brumbies won their season opener... The only beige lining is that we once again missed out on the bonus point.

You'd be hard pressed to find a Brumbies fan who likes the bonus point system given that we've been screwed by it for the past 3 or so years...

I actually think some sports should adopt some European systems.

The NBA should become like European football when you can get relegated and promoted to different divisions. Gives ****** teams something to play for and gives good teams something to fear.

It's to promote teams scoring tries and to provide incentive for quality running rugby teams rather than squads like England's two world cups past where the forwards just churn up the park and look to apply pressure until the defending team gives away a penalty for Johnny F***ing Wilkinson to knock over.

Thing is, the Brumbies do play an exciting style and do score tries... they just somehow wind up only scoring three all the damn time.

Last game, for example, they failed to get the fourth but the team they beat did.

It leads to us finishin below teams we've won more games than often.

Indeed. It will never happen but now with all these super teams in the NBA, there's only like 6 actual contenders. Think of the Premier League where a team like Bolton or Aston Villa are never going to really contend. So you can have like the NBA divided into 3 divisions, 10 teams each and you can be relegated and promoted within those 3 divisions. Then, as an added bonus you could have the NBA Cup, where all the teams are competing in a tournament similar to the FA Cup and you can even throw in the NBDL in there.

Another awesome idea, FIBA should have a Pro Club Tournament. Lakers vs FC Barcelona, Heat vs Olympiakos.

Difference between Milwaukee and Cleveland is that the Bucks are doomed, yes, but they're not incompetant. Cleveland is both incompetant AND doomed and that combination only works in comedy...
