well most of us only knew the NES/SNES games and then it was quiet until VII came out

I was never into RPGs all that much anyway.....VII was the first RPG I sat and played start to finish

I played VII, VIII, and IX which is when I started to burn out on the series. Made it all the way to the end and never bothered to fight the final boss. Finished 10, but it was pretty meh. I liked the underwater soccer game more than the actual game. :o Played XI only to realize that MMO's suck, then I played the one with the Sky Pirates....Lost interest midway through.....and that was it for me and the FInal Fantasy series.

FF Tactics however was effin awesome. (The gameboy ones, not so much.) Chrono Trigger was also awesome. Crono Cross sucked balls but I liked the thought behind it. SaGa Frontier one also had an awesome premise, but SaGa Frontier II took that Premise to the next level of awesome....too bad it was hard as f**k.

the most frustrating rpg ever is the first dragon quest game. it didn't matter how powerful you were or what you had equipped, if you ran into the wyverrn on your way to the final dungeon (about a 90% chance from my experience) you ****ing lost. that damn glitch was more powerful than the final boss

Getting burned out on RPG's is the reason I never finished Earthbound. I eventually lost the rom and everything. I've been meaning to try that game out again, but I've never gotten around to it.

I feel it was the Japanese RPG's that killed things for me. It's all that, pretentious, philosophical, gobbledygook they get up to. Xenosaga I think was the last straw. I remember how awesome Xenogears was, looking back it had some of the same problems, but dammit, I enjoyed it. The last truly great RPG I played before I got into Fallout was The Legend of Dragoon. That s**t was epic.

You forgot the melodrama. Literally every character in every Japanese RPG ever made is a major drama queen.

I really dig rpg's playing through the new Final Fantasy game at the moment

RPG's start and end with Mass Effect for me. Maybe if they made a new Kingdom Hearts that wasn't a PSP spin-off.

I gotta tell you, I played Kingdom Hearts for maybe an hour. Bored the s**t outta me.

BioWare did the job right

the krogan are definitely one of the cooler species in that, kind of like the klingons but more badass

When something needs ****ing up it's time to bring the Krogan.

Then you should never ever go near Kingdom Hearts II. It has a ****ing 100 hour tutorial that takes place in a dream.

any video game tutorial that takes longer than 15 min is too damn long

100 hours, 4 hours. Whatever. I just know I spent too much time swatting people around with a foam bat as Roxas instead of smacking them with an oversized key as Sora.

which, oddly enough, is 99 percent of the time in Mass Effect....in the first game, Wrex was probably with me at least 80 percent of the game

in 2, Grunt gets a lot of time

I like Fruit Ninja

I can't wait to play Uncharted 3, it's kinda sad that a game series this good is better than half of Hollywood films.

i'm looking forward to 2 games this year; captain america super soldier, and batman arkham city. and maybe l.a. noir, but i might just watch a playthrough of that instead

I think its very cool that they are incorporating Lawrence of Arabia into the storyline
