So I did it. I finally went and watched every single episode of gorram frakking Glee. Mostly because I heard the "Any Way You Want It/Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin'" mashup and I was like, okay I really had to know what the hell. If any other songs were as awesome as this, then I was missing out.

Also because, um, Joss Whedon said he liked it and directed an episode. Joss is my master but I sometimes forget the safeword.

I'm catching up on Glee right now. I saw Whedon's episode yesterday, and it was one of my favorites. Artie needs to fantasize about dancing more often, because that actor's moves are wasted in a wheelchair.

Yeah I love all these kids, mostly platonically, and there's been very few storylines that I've outright disliked. But, okay, so much of this show is super stupid and while I don't quite share the disdain for the "back 9" and the "event episodes" that most people (probably rightly) do, that Britney Spears episode was probably the dumbest TV episode I've seen in my life -- and I've seen the BSG finale -- and when I recommend this show to anyone I'm going to beg them to skip it.

What else? Pretty much the gamut of Gleek opinions, I suppose; Brittany is awesome, Rachel is annoying (but that voice!), Artie is awesome, Will is buttface mcballnuts, Sam is boring, Mercedes is black (and cute! Mostly).

yea...thats pretty much the general consensus, Rachel is annoying but the only person with any measurable vocal talent on that show

I always felt like King of the Hill was a waste of animation. You don't hire a staff of artists and animators to create a TV show less visually striking than the real world. Even when Hanna-Barbera started animating traditional sitcoms back in the 60's, they had the good sense to throw a visual twist in there by making the main characters into animals or cavemen. Literally nothing done on King of the Hill couldn't have been achieved in live action. Hell, live action probably would've been cheaper.

kind of how I always felt about it....it was a very basic family sitcom, just animated

had some decent episodes but nothing that remarkable....there was an episode centered around Boggle....BOGGLE for chrissakes

I liked King of the Hill. It wasn't remarkable or anything, but I enjoyed it's satire on Southern life (maybe being from the south makes me bias a little more, I dunno), and I enjoyed all the characters (outside Peggy, goddamn). I agree on one level that it being animated is kind of odd, but I don't really see any reason why there's no room at all for animation that isn't balls-to-the-walls nuts or filled with some bizarrity. Generally, I think that's how the medium should be used but have never been a fan of putting any medium in a box of absolutes. It's like comics; generally I think the medium is best used for the fantastic and amazing, but there's plenty of room for the likes of Wood's The New York Five and Ba and Moon's Daytripper.

And that's how Tron sees it.

I think I saw the Cotton dying one. He fell on a grill in a Japanese restaurant, right? And Peggy told him she hoped he burns in hell right when he died or something, then told Hank his last words were that he loved him.
