I just finished watching TOP SECRET... I wanted it to end after fifteen minutes.

I thought that movie was hilarious when I was like 8 haha. I doubt it aged well.

Thing is... I still think AIRPLANE, HOT SHOTS and NAKED GUN are funny. I still laugh at them. This... I can't get people saying it's an unappreciated classic.

Like I stated I like the kind of humor the film was going for. That Weird Al says it's one of his faves made me think it would at least worth a viewing. So far in my reviewing of 1984 films this was the one that made me just want those 90 minutes of my life back. Even the first POLICE ACADEMY which did not age well at all to my eyes (ACADEMY so wants to be STRIPES but fails pretty bad, and I remember laughing at it as a kid) was not as bad an experience to view as this.

No way in hell is it a classic. It's clearly a juvenile wanna be riff of the films you mentioned. But that's exactly why I liked it when I was 8.
