The Dark Knight The Voice and Laugh of the Joker...

My biggest issue right now is that really rough transition between Alfred's lines and the Joker's. There's a really awkward pause and it's because of the recording not picking up much of the background music or the more subtle audio. I'm sure it's a lot smoother at higher quality and that's what I want to here.

***** this teaser is only teasing me for the this teaser.

Starting tonight, people will die

Don't get me wrong, I like the voice. But that's the image that pops into my head

I know how much people loved Mark Hamill's Joker and everything, but for me personally, Heath's voice is the absolute closest anyone has come to the voice I hear in my head whenever I read a Batman comic.

So naturally it gets a thumbs-up from me.

 <- see?

Well, that's great for ONE PERSON, I'm sure Warner Bros. will be delighted. :woot:

I've always imagined the Joker sounds like Cesar Romero or Mark Hamill's versions.

But anyway, Ledger sounds fantastic.

I like what Heath did with the voice and liked his laugh as well so can´t wait to see and hear more of him

It's a really different voice, but that's perfect. I didn't want to hear what had come before... I wanted an entirely different sound for the Joker. Ledger's given us that. It's as valid a Joker voice as any, fits the character quite well, and is sufficiently creepy.

I'm on board.

Liked the laugh, but need to hear better quality of the dialogue, because it didn't sound good to me. Sounds similar to the bogus 'cards' teaser.

What I like about it is how rough and maniacal he sounds without getting all high-pitched like Hammil. He seriously reminds me of some whacked out serial killer being interviewed. Heath totally changed his voice. I just wished I could've seen the face while he said those lines, especially the laugh.

After thought, there is one voice that this Joker most reminds me of. Remember in "Batman: The Animated Series", the moments when Mark Hamill's Joker would drop his cheery, quasi-English accent, and talk like a common street thug? The moments where he "drops the act", if you will? That's what I'm reminded of when I hear Ledger speak here.

To the people who say it sounds like Nicholson, or it sounds like Beetlejuice, so what? I prefer a deep, rasping, reptilian voice to some high-pitched squeal. And it certainly kicks the crap outta that ***** "essence of laughter" voice from the fake teaser.

Amen to that, my friend

Professional wrestler. A more light hearted Undertaker.

Exactly what I thought! The heavy breathing, the way he emphasizes the D at the end... sounds like a pro wrestler giving a backstage interview or something.

I don't like it.

I was hoping for Ledger's naturally deep voice, minus the accent perhaps.

 I like the giddyness of the first half, and the soullessness of the second

I freaking love it. Ledger is a brilliant actor. That voice sounds NOTHING like him, its soo....DEMONIC. its perfect.

I was hoping that Megan Fox wasn't going to be as hot as people told me, so I could actually look at the cars and robots

I was hoping that the TDK teaser trailer was going to be much like the description on SHH

I was hoping that my first car would be an Audi S5

I was hoping that summer here in Flanders would be much better

I was hoping that Jack Nicholson wasn't going to be reminded as Joker because he has played so many really great roles other than in B'89

I was hoping that, when the doorbell rang, Michelle Pfeiffer was at my door so I could get a kiss from the most beautiful MILF ever

Count me as surprised - it sounds like a cross between a lizard and Michael Keaton in Beetlejuice. It's creepy and swarthy - like he's a greasy, egotistical jerk or something, which is good.

Actually, come to think of it, it sounds almost like Heath's version of Bill Cutting (Daniel Day-Lewis) from "Gangs of New York." I can even hear a kind of semi-New York accent going on there.

Yeah, that's a pretty accurate description of it. But I have a feeling this is a sound clip from the film, right after Joker offs a lot of people or something. That's the only way I can explain why he's panting, and doesn't seem to be speaking as he might normally would.

They did the same with the BB Superbowl spot, with Wayne's monologue.

The way he dragged out and emphased WORD did sound Nicholsonish. Looking forward to seing what he does with the charcter.

I like it a lot. I can sense a bit of beetle juice in there, but Nicholson..no. I like the way he talks. It sounds Flamboyant and sly, energetic yet psycho! You wouldn't know that was Ledger. Can't wait for a clearer version to hear the laugh better.

It's excellent, and I love it. Reminds me of Nicholson.

This guy pops in my head:
