Because they changed the word "Green" for "New"? Seriously? Harry was the Green Goblin in the comics. So how is that making up a villain? Because if that's how we are judging a new villain, Venom was a new villain as they never called him "Venom" in the movie. In fact they changed his name to "Eddie Brock Jr." instead of just Eddie Brock.

Oh, and yeah. If this rumor is true we can kiss this version of Spidey good-bye. People need a home run after Spider-Man 3. At the very least we'll be on the fast track to a reboot if this rumor is true.

And this may be nothing but we kind of already have concept art of the Vulture from Spider-Man 3. He was originally going to be used when they threw him out for Venom instead. This is from "The Art of Spider-Man 3."

The Batman stuff has nothing to do with this... unless it was the same source. I wasn't here in 05. Also we just had Tobey imply Lizard in a recent interview, the actors want to keep the fans guessing. Not saying it's 100%, but keep hoping...

Agreed. If this rumor is true, stick a fork in it, this series is done (for now).

And yet, I don't really believe it. They can't be this stupid. After Spiderman 3, they can't be this dumb. You don't replace a major character in the comics and make her/him a completely differen hero/villain. That story just sounds too stupid to be true.

The Batman stuff also came from sources that were considered "legit" at the time, and Kirsten Dunst said in an interview that one of the villains in Spider-Man 2 was going to be "a lizard thing". I´ve been around here a long time to know all sources are "legit" and "reliable" till they turn out to be full of s***. Those were just a few examples, there are gazillions of those. Some of the stuff even comes from early versions of the script which are then scrapped - Black Cat actually was even in an early draft of Spider-Man 2 as well -. Nothing is written at stone at this point.

A bad sign about the rumor is John Malkovich being rumored to play Vulture. Malkovich was rumored to be in the run for Gree Goblin as well, but he never expressed any interest in playing villains in superhero movies.

Well there ought to be a reason we keep hearing the same characters coming up. Maybe they are finally in the script. Just keep in mind how quickly people trashed that SM3 leak as full of bull. Eventually, someone in the rumor mill gets it right. We had a guy from earlier in November giving us this scoop, now we have this latest report. We have heard every source confirming a Felicia or a second love interest. It's going to be something similar to this. And Raimi has talked about Vulture like he was his half-brother for how long now?

Every source so far has confirmed Felicia, not this "Vulturess" thing. The Vulture was in an early draft of SM3 as well and didn´t make it to the final movie. I remember there was an old rumor about her father, but it wasn´t that he was Vulture.

BS is getting freakin' annoying. the movie WAS NOT THAT BAD! you fanboy screheads need to grow a pair and suck it up. so what if SM3 wasn't the best super hero movie ever made. it certainly doesn't mean it was the worst..it doesn't made the whole series sucks and that it needs a reboot and it doesn't mean(this news aside) that the next movies won't be better...seriously u guys have been b!#$%ing and moaning for like 3 flippin' years now. just shut up and move on!
