Things like that would be a pain in the a** to take in and out every day. He'd spend the entire day in the hair/make-up trailer. They're temporary, but kinda perma-temporary, if that makes any sense. That's why you never saw Hugh Jackman without his during the Van Helsing shoot, either.

Good news for fans for Percy Jackson—Fox 2000 is planning a sequel to the 2010’s “Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief.”

According to the Los Angeles Times’ blog 24 Frames, an unnamed source told them the movie will be subtitled “The Sea of Monsters” from the second novel in the author Rick Riordan’s five-book series.

The source also confirmed actor Logan Lerman will be back as Percy Jackson in the sequel.

Fox 2000 has hired Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski (“Ed Wood,” “Agent Cody Banks”) to write the script adaptation of the novel.

Director Chris Columbus, who helmed the first film, is not expected to return to direct the sequel. However, he will produce the sequel along with Karen Rosenfelt (“Breaking Dawn”). No new director has been named at this time.

Here is the author’s synopsis for the second novel:

“When Thalia’s tree is mysteriously poisoned, the magical borders of Camp Half-Blood begin to fail. Now Percy and his friends have just days to find the only magic item powerful to save the camp before it is overrun by monsters. The catch: they must sail into the Sea of Monsters to find it. Along the way, Percy must stage a daring rescue operation to save his old friend Grover, and he learns a terrible secret about his own family, which makes him question whether being the son of Poseidon is an honor or a curse.”

The original film introduced Percy Jackson as a boy who discovers he is the son of the Greek god Poseidon in today’s modern world mixed with Greek mythology. The film managed to gross $89 million domestically and received an additional $137 million overseas.
