this will bomb like John Carter. but i dont see where you see any JC ?

If it continues to have bad trailers, then yes.

Sometimes I wonder if Legendary has a better marketing team than WB; the Godzilla stuff thus far has been amazing.

Ironic because WB is the one that's marketing Godzilla. And yeah, I have to say that that movie has had the best marketing campaign of any of the big summer movies IMO.

i know i am again negative. but promoting a hidden monster is the easiest way of marketing a movie. show me a movie where the marketing didnt work .its all about the build up :)

Too late for this advice but I hope the trailer explains what the stakes are and why we should care.

The original teaser was..messy despite the cool visuals.

Also, we need to see and hear from Kunis' point of view, since she's the fish out of water.

the end of planet Earth and all other worlds.

If thing doesn't bomb right out of the gate, I'll be shocked.

Watch this movie get decent reception despite looking like crap.

:o

Never underestimate the power of Tatum on the ladies...and some men.

I just want to see if the Wachowskis have tossed together something more complex than we think.

Some of those action shots were incomprehensible. In a bad way.
Jupiter (Kunis) is lame and more like a plot device the protagonist (Tatum) and antagonist fight over. Not portraying her to be the next Neo or Katniss as protagonist in the trailer.
Jupiter would have been better if she wasn't portrayed as "along for the ride", weak and pathetic (except one brief shot in the trailer) and did half the **** they got the space alien man to do.
The casting of Kunis and Tatum strains credulity anyway. Even if you didn't like Neo in the Matrix, Trinity was pretty cool. I think Keanu succeeded in spite of his typical mannerisms.
Sean Bean's character is probable to die. Just an observation.
And I don't care about this movie.

So long, film.

Awesome Matrix trailer:

White House Down just flopped last year Terry. :oldrazz:

I'm happy an original movie is coming out in the summer (if you call Snow White in space original) and I really do wish the film good luck on that level but the new trailer is still only alright to me. There are some interesting bits and the visuals look cool but I'm not dying to see it or anything.

@MagnarTheGreat, your trailer review made me chuckle. Straight forward and kinda true. The fact that the title character is still being portrayed as a maguffin with boobs is bizarre city USA.

Since Kunis is in this I will not be seeing it for sure. I think she is a horrible actress, just something about her bugs me and to me she lowers the quality of any movie she is in. I just can not take her seriously as a "top" actress.

Bad Casting imo.

She's.... the least of this thing's problems. :o

So apparently Giacchino is scoring this? I hope its better than his last few scores. I thought his Into Darkness and John Carter scores were merely okay ( Love his score for the first Abrams Trek film though)

This new trailer looks a lot better but I kind of had laugh at the whole "your special for reasons that have basically nothing to do with what you actually choose to do." Such a theme is kind of the problem with a lot of movies these days.

"Merely okay"? That just makes me want to puke all over your head, sir. :o

Then again the last act of Into Darkness kind of sours my attitude towards everything connected to it.

:hehe::up:

It's like they just thought "Hey, lets do a clusterf*** of every nerd genre in a single movie, with Channing Tatum as a futuristic warrior elf. Cool? Cool."

Well that is what they did with the Matrix. But with a budget that forced thought and restraint. This looks so much like Reloaded and Revolutions, it is kind of scary. It really seems like the Matrix was a one hit wonder. I love Speed Racer, but it worked in a different way. Their attempts at "High end" "original" sci-fi has been bad since.

I liked Reloaded so I don't agree with that statement very much. :o

I'll give you Revolutions though...
