remember also that this is not based on comics,game,book. which means noone hoped for a movie for 10 years. example Godzilla. its a universe that we the fanboy community know. so everything changes. because nothign in the Godzilla movie looks original. it looks like the best possible design with the best possible action and the most cliche acting that you can get. minus Cranston. who is always awesome. Godzilla will be a 9/10 or 10/10 movie. we already know this today.

It might do as well as Ender's Game and After Earth !!!

Though, I think the trailers make it look really fun.

not trying to defend Jupiter because it will be an insane big bomb. i can already smell the bomb. i like the trailer and i like what i see from the universe

but fact is that a lot of times original movies have a hard time on the internet. remember there is nothing that the internet fans know about the characters,universe,... they only have the trailer and the general look of the movie.

nothing is 100% original. but in times when we have so many adaptations of comic books,books its insulting that Avatar and Jupiter are only bashed to be similar to previous stories. its like if you play it safe you already won 80% of the battle. Snow White Hunstman was only praised for the look and action. that was enough. of course you can not complain about the story because its Snow White. so its safe right?

Haven't seen the film yet, so of course I can't do that. But it looks bad to me. They couldn't have came with many a worse ad campaign to turn me off the way they have so far.

the leads are so poison that almost everyone in the comment sections wrotte that they dont like Kunis and Tatum in the movie.

Wachowskis always had success with their leads. the first time they let the studio pick them the first time it will fail. and dont even try to to throw the news from 1999 how they wanted Will Smith for Neo.............just dont ok? haha

so if you create an original universe and use images that you saw for 10 years then this is bad right? but if you make an adaptation out of comicbooks and books then you can use designs out of it and you are safe right? you did your job .

a flying superhero with a cape is a superman copy. but a superman movie with a superman suit out of comics is the best thing that happened to our lifes?

Final Fantasy are video games.

Also, no. Considering how many feel about Cap's look in the Avengers or all the complaining about Batman and Superman's suits over the years, there are no free passes.

Tatum's character looks bad because he looks bad. Not because he is "original" or a rip off. The reason I bring up Final Fantasy, is you are defending the look because you are claiming it is "original". It isn't, it is clearly derivative if you watch Japanese anime, or play Japanese video games.

So it is both derivative, and crap.

Well the vast majority do. That is where the quality comes in. Or you hide your influences well like Nolan. Inception is far from wholly original, but you'd have a hard time explaining why.

The Matrix is derivative as all get out, but works so well, it doesn't matter. It also had some originality in terms of the technical side.

i like Nolan's movies. but on SHH if i now writte that i disagree that he hides influences a lot of young people will jump on me.
