They make her badass in the upcoming episodes and keep Darrel around and next season they (and we) will be laughing about this and being happy that she wasn't super sniper yet when she glazed him.

She's not irredeemable. Now Shane, he might end up being so.

Andrea being able to shoot him from so far away is kinda part of her story if they keep it the same as in the comics.

It's the reason she becomes one of the most important members of the group.

I won't buy this Andrea suddenly becoming any type of bad ass with in a few episodes. She has at least 3 or so seasons before becoming a believable bad ass. Kill her or make her take a hike

Her crappy aim isn't the biggest problem though. Her trigger-happiness is. They clearly had it under control. All the women, pls go.

One word for this episode, BARN! Glad they kept that from the comics.

Andrea at this point has become as big of a liability to survival as the kids. She has shown a complete lack of stability throughout the whole series and is not afraid to pull a trigger for stupid reasons even though the need for silence has been all but beaten into her head.

Of course, she serves the purpose of being a means of continuing the human race...but that's about it.

Oh...and I think that the VAST majority of viewers hate her character and want her dead.

Looks like Shane screams some sense into her next week. Here's hoping they "fix" her character then.

Just takes one episode of her sniping multiple walkers and saving everyone to swing possible hate against her to the positive so we'll see.

I just cant....what they have done to Andrea. I just want to sit them down and ask them why??

*subscribe* I thought for sure ole Myrel(spelling)was coming back but it was a voice in Shane's head. Looking forward to next week's episode. The barn thing does explain why the old man keeps trying to get rid of everyone because I was wondering why he was being so hasty to make them leave.

Sophia, well, I don't know. I was thinking for sure Mearle was keeping her alive after last weeks preview, now I don't know she better have a necklace full of ears along with matching bracelets and a hell of a good story.

a bunch of nothing? did you watch the same episode I did tonight?

More happened in this episode than half the rest of the series.

I think this was the best of the season so far.

the barn is finally coming into play after being foreshadowed for 3 episodes, and Daryl showed character progression (even if it's gonna cause trouble). We finally saw Merle again (kinda) and from what it seems, Andrea is about to show some progress too.

This whole finding Sophia has gone on too long, they either need to find her next episode or continue on without her.

Yes.............I would have moved on already. She's probably dead already and I don't understand why they are risking lives looking for her when more than likely she's dead.

Aw dude, spoiler alert! lol

Side note, but does anyone remember the reports of what led to Frank Darabont being let go? Supposedly he was really unhappy with the way an episode had turned out and that, because of studio-heads intervening, it was un-fixable? I think that was episode 5 or 6.

He left mainly due to budgetary reasons. He being a big respectable name wants to attach his name to the best product. AMC would rather give their money to John Ham and other such things. So he may have left or got booted hard to say.

I do know that come award time and water cooler talk, it does help if scenes like the napalm bombing of Atlanta doesn't look like a college after effects assignment. A good artist can work with nothing but a good budget can give your product that edge. Applied to summer movies and this becomes clear.

S02E07 "Pretty Much Dead Already"
Air Date: November 27, 2011

AKA the episode where they finally decide to move on from Sophia, but the 1min ending twist is they find her body or rather she finds them.
Calling it now.
In your big fat face Shane..Rick is always right!

Hey, what do you mean you people?
I'm black:word:

You do know that once they find Sophia they leave the farm, right? The quicker they find her, the sooner Hershel, Maggie, the barn, and everything that's been developing this season is out of the picture.

Yeah, and I'm okay with that since we're almost halfway through the season and we don't know those characters at all.

Finally!
I really enjoyed this episode. I've accepted that they are bent on not moving the plot forward at any reasonable pace but what they did do is give us some great tangible plot within that framework. Daryl's story. He was becoming too liked by the group and audience, I think his mental stability is going to do wonders for the character dynamics. Kirkman Style.
I've suspected for a while that he's going to become the Tyreese character, seeds are being sown.

I love what happened with Andrea. If anyone else had made that mistake we'd forgive it but after a season of nagging and acting like an entitled baby and honestly even worse than Lori, we can finally tell the lady to sit down and shut up already. This dude(Daryl) was actually on her side and she pretty much killed him. And for what? lol to prove her damn self empowering point. I love it. I have a feeling it got a great reaction from the audience and that's what's important. All of that and they managed to tie in the Andrea crazy gun skill plot point.

They built up the tension between the two groups nicely because next week there's going to be a wonderful conflict coming off of that reveal. Hershel's doing the right thing btw, he's just misguided. But as a doctor it makes more than perfect sense imo.

When Glen wasn't doing that stupid talking to Lori but really just shooting odd looks into the distance like he's got a stomach cramp crap he always does, he was great. I love when this character get's into sorts of trouble. Especially when it's petty.

Lastly what Lori told Shane I find was exceptionally on point. He walks around telling everyone(audience especially) that he's making the hard choices(and the audience actually believes this) when the reality is that he's making the easier ones. He's using the kid as his excuse. I was cheering Lori on as she was explaining. After this I firmly believe that Rick wouldn't have shot Otis. He wouldn't put that on his son. He's find another way. This is the difference between heroes that kill and don't for example.

This episode renews my faith in the series. But if I may be honest, the pacing is ****ed. When we watch movies we're all quick to point out how much crap could be cut out to yield a tighter more cohesive plot. It's no different with TV shows but because of the format people lose sight of this. Breaking Bad is the biggest criminal of them all. I will not accept an entire season on this farm. I won't do it.
