After almost one season and a half i must say that there are thing i like about the show but there are changes from the comics i hated.

First off, i don't mind them adding characters, for example, Daryl was a great adiction, i think Merle can be interesting as a villain, but when the decide to use created characters instead of the ones from the comics i begin to dislike their aproach.

First there was that couple with the twin kids, i think those characters should have definitely stayed, when the mother was becoming likeable she was killed and that was kind of a shock, that would have been interesting. Next there's Tyreese, and how he seems to have been replaced by t-dog, come on, Tyreese is interesting as he is kind of a 2nd leader to the group after Rick.

I know the show developers like Michone and the Governor but making Merle into the governor is an idea i don't like, on the whole i probably prefered the 1st season, however i still have hopes that the show continues for long

How is Tyreese being replaced by T-Dog? He's done nothing similar to Tyreese apart from be black. And Merle isn't going to be the Governor. Merle confirmed this.

I'm think Tyreese is going to appear at some point as there are begining to emerge some rumors of the actor, but Merle has been discussed by the show developers that they might make him the shows version of the governor

The old man is right : it is a wonder they ( the Rick team ) survived this long.
Between Andrea, Dayle shooting was just bad writing ( next to the overall quality of the show ), it makes her blonder than blonde and all the crap that happened because of the lost little girl who is probably dead and if not she should be.

I wonder why they keep zombies in the barn ? My theory : they are relatives and they don't want to kill them out of missplaced compassion.

Most here begin theories of things that are explained in the comics, you all know this was a comics too right?

Yeah most people seem to forgot that. Looking at the farm from the comics and the one from the show is kinda interesting.

Also looking back at Hershel in the comics...

And here's when Carl got shot in the comics.

I almost forgot Tyreese was already introduced when Carl got shot.

Spoiler for ep 6 says we get two characters doing the nasty.

My bet is on Shane/Andrea

omg this "merle as the governor" crap is getting outta hand and annoying.

It's been stated several times by varying actors, writers and producers for the show MERLE ISN'T THE GOVERNOR!

I wonder if they'll make Merle part of the Governor's group?

Also, can people stop knocking those of us that haven't read the comics?

People understand that it's based of a comic, yes. But some people would just like to watch the show as a stand alone. Especially since the series is loosely following the comic series. I've never read them. I'll get to them eventually. But I see tons of bashing from those who have read the comics and it's so unnecessary.

Now, THAT I can see. Maybe a right hand man? That'd def create conflict for Daryl in possibly showing where is loyalties truly lie.

I really wish the twins were in the show. Especially how their drama with Carl went down. Would have made for awesome TV.

I would love to see Merl as the Governor but I really want Danny Trejo as The Governor. Merl I can see joining the Governor's group.

I hadn't read that was confirmed. Please forgive me for speculating! :csad:

Also I haven't read a lot of posts from people "bashing" others who haven't read the comics. Are you upset that fans are constantly comparing the two? I think that's only natural and I typically use the spoiler function when I reference the books.

I know it is a comics but I didn't read it, I don't read much comics if at all.

It's not just you. I'm not specifically talking about you. But I've read articles, they all say that Merle isn't going to be the Governor.

I don't care about the comparison. I understand them. But I'm sick of people knocking those of us that haven't read them that enjoy the show. I see it a lot. And then when people speculate about the farm, and people all "well if you read the comic...". The comments just seem more condescending than anything.

Actually i never found anything saying Merle wouldn't be the Governor, only an interview where one of the producers said that maybe Merle would be the show's version of the Governor, if you have please send me a link.

And calm down, we only began to say "in the comics..." when people began speculating about a super zombie or subgect zero being there
