I hope this show doesn't turn into Rick vs. Morgan unless the conflict ends in a beautiful bromance.

Amazing trailer. Looks like another great season's ahead. I loved Season 5.

Awesome trailer looking forward to another great season.

Great trailer, the sewer walker and skeleton walker look awesome!

Seems as if the narrative of the season will be a fight for Rick's humanity, although Daryl seems like he'll have a cool solo survival arc as well.

Dat trailer.

Very much looking forward to October 11th!

I like how people are supposed to know who Rick and Daryl are.

Hyped for season 6 but as I did with season 5 I’m avoiding the trailers for it and that cash grab/companion series premiering in August. I don’t want to know too much before it airs.

Rewatching the trailer, it looks like Gabriel approaches Deanna over the spot where her husband died. I kind of hope that's where she tells him off like Douglas did to Gabriel in the comics.

EDIT: S***, wrong thread.

The Walking Dead: Exclusive first photos and intel on new characters (including Merritt Wever as Denise)
BY DALTON ROSS

The town of Alexandria on The Walking Dead is about to get a little bit bigger, and we have some new intel and photos on some of the characters we’ll be meeting for the first time when the show returns for season 6 on Oct. 11. It was announced at Comic-Con in San Diego that Ethan Embry and Merritt Wever would be joining the cast, but no other details were given on whom they would be playing. We have your exclusive first pictures of both as well as scoop from showrunner Scott M. Gimple on their characters, plus a fresh look at another new Alexandrian.

Wever, who won an Emmy playing nurse Zoe Barkow on Nurse Jackie, now gets a promotion to full-blown doctor. We can reveal she will be playing Dr. Denise Cloyd, a character from The Walking Dead comic, and you can see the first photo of Wever as Denise above. Denise’s role as a medic becomes critical in the community of Alexandria after the death of Pete, and in the comic her skills as a surgeon prove pivotal, especially after a ghastly injury incurred by one of the main characters—an injury which may or may not happen on the TV version.

But that’s not the only scoop we have for you. Embry (seen most recently on Netflix’s Grace and Frankie) is also joining the cast, and in addition to the exclusive first photo of him above, we can also reveal that he is playing the role of Carter. Gimple says Carter serves as a composite of different people from the original comic. “Ethan plays a combo of a few characters that we actually haven’t hit yet or weren’t able to hit in other characters,” says Gimple. “He is an Alexandrian, and has been there the whole time, just quite busy.” From the looks of the season 6 trailer that was released at Comic-Con, Carter now looks like he’ll be busy trying to turn the community against Rick for all the violence that has come to town. We’ll see how that pans out for him.

In addition to these two newbies, we’ll also be meeting another Alexandrian in season 6. It’s already been announced that Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton) will be playing a character named Heath from the comic who is a supply-runner for the town (and one who becomes romantically linked to Denise in the original source material), but we’ve got an exclusive new photo for you above. Gimple had this to tell EW about Hawkins in the role: “He’s terrific and I’m so excited to see him bring Heath to life. It’s been fun and he dove in with both feet. He’s tough and skeptical when the cameras are rolling, and then when they’re off he’s just like a goofy fan. He’s really, really excited to be there.”

Entertainment Weekly said:
If there’s one thing we learned last season on The Walking Dead, it’s that when Carol Peletier offers you cookies, you take them…because you may not like the other option she has in mind. In fact, the only thing better than Carol’s cookies is when an EW Walking Dead cover story comes with them.

Andrew Lincoln, Melissa McBride and Norman Reedus grace the newest cover of Entertainment Weekly as we infiltrate Alexandria to get all the inside scoop on season 6 of The Walking Dead—a season that looks to feature drama on both sides of the wall. With tensions rising after Rick’s killing of Pete, a battle for control of the town could be brewing. Reedus says to expect “a lot of internal conflict. A lot of characters that you didn’t see having beef are starting to have beef—there’s a lot of mistrust.” Ultimately, it comes down to what Lincoln says is, “them and us. When I read the first script, I called [showrunner Scott M. Gimple] up and went, ‘You know, I say them and they, and us and we a lot.” He said, ‘That’s your journey, from them to us.’”

It’s a journey that will complicated by the presence of both Wolves and walkers, and will also jump around in terms of time, starting with the Oct. 11 season premiere. “We do play with time a little bit,” says executive producer Greg Nicotero, who directed the premiere. “And not in a traditional sense. We open right in the middle of this heightened action sequence, and we then jump around in that time frame to allow the audience to put together in their own minds what it is that we actually just saw.”

Season 6 will feature other glimpses into the past as well. Lennie James confirms that we will indeed get answers as to what changed Morgan from the loony tunes character we saw in season 3 to the stick-wielding semi-pacifist we encountered outside Alexandria (“He has gone through a transformation that viewers will find out about,”) and we will also see some backstory to events that happened in Alexandria before Rick and Co. arrived. However, showrunner Scott M. Gimple cautions it will not involve the origins of the community (like last year with Terminus). “It’s earlier in Alexandria,” says Gimple of the flashbacks, “but not the beginning of Alexandria. It’s more character-based rather than the background of the place. There are some stories filled in regards to the comic that we haven’t even gotten to yet—sort of prequeling some comic stories that are coming up, which I’m very excited about.”

Nice seeing Carol featured on an EW cover finally.

Carol, finally on a magazine cover?! :atp:

I never thought Carol of season one would become one the strongest and respectable characters on the show.

Season 5? Ehhh maybe. But she was definitely snubbed for S4/The Grove.

I met Michael Rooker aka Merle today at Dublin Comic Con. He was awesome, such a nice guy. Got my photo taken with him, too.

With how Scott Gimple has approached adapting the material, I kind of wonder how he would've handled introducing the Governor had he been showrunner at the time. I mean, he did his little Governor arc in the fourth season, but that was really about paying off/wrapping up what had already been written. I wonder how different things would've been if Gimple had been there to build the character from the ground up. Hopefully we wouldn't have had to sit through a half a season of talking about going to war only to cap it off with a five minute scene of Rick and co. shooting at the Governor's feet, scaring them away.

Any characters you guys want to see die this season? I want Sasha to die big time. She annoys the hell out of me, especially with all her "PTSD". Can't stand her I wanna see her go violently haha.

I definitely would like to see
Carl lose his eye like in the comic
