wolf Dave Grohl all cleaned up and an Aussie on Talking dead

"So Carrie Underwood, you've been a fan of The Walking Dead since day 1?"

"Yeah, this is my genre. I like movies."

Nope, she's not on the Talking Dead at all because she needs to promote the Grammys. Not at all ... lol. Give me a break.

I changed the channel so fast after that.

Yeah LOL nothing personal against her but I don't think she's the best guest after such a great episode. Need someone whose a little more passionate or relaxed or funnier....

sorry ron and sam but i'm really glad you died and jessie too. You guys just got on my nerves and I never could get invested. And I was afraid I was supposed to be liking them So that's a relief that it was okay I didn't! And no I didn't like Jessie either

Just finished watching this episode on DVR. Probably one of the Top 3-5 episodes ever for me. Hated to see Jessie go down...her annoying kids not so much but it was shocking.

It seems like the end of the mid-season finale foreshadowed what would eventually happen, though I assumed Sam calling out to Jessie would be what would bring the walkers down on them rather than it happening much later.

Minus Glen squeeking by again :whatever:

Carl was perfect. Daryl saving everyone's asses over and over... still think Lucille will come for him. great episode all in all.

Good mid-season premiere, which should’ve been the mid season finale, imho. I hope the rest of 6b will maintain it’s momentum. And won’t take place between 1-2 days like 6a.

I’m glad they concluded the quarry walker herd and the Wolf arc. As well as Rick’s entire group finally being reunited after episode 6.1. The story can finally move forward.

That opening was unexpected and hilarious and had me nearly cheering, where Daryl blows away Negan’s gang with the RPG. I was expecting them to only rob Daryl, Abe, and Sasha of their weapons, fuel truck, and just leave them stranded in the middle of nowhere. It was great seeing Daryl kicking butt again. It’s been a while. That RPG is a cool upgrade from the crossbow.

I’m glad the writers remembered Heath. He’s been absent for 5 episodes without any mention. Congrats to Gabriel (though I wouldn't have trusted him with Judith’s life), Eugene and most importantly Alexandria finally stepping up. Most of this season the ASZ community were becoming a self parody of how helpless they were.

Some nitpicks and complaints..

[BLACKOUT]Jessie, Sam, and Ron’s deaths didn’t have the impact they were aiming for, imo b/c I wasn’t heartbroken when they killed Jessie. The quick flashbacks of Jessie felt forced. Plus I thought the Rick and Jessie romance was underdeveloped. I was surprised her death was more tame than Sam’s though.[/BLACKOUT]

Carol is getting too callous. [BLACKOUT]She scarred Sam, when she scared him at that party. which led to his gruesome death. She jumped to conclusions killing that Wolf, when he was trying saving Denise from the walkers. Hopefully Denise tells her that the Wolf saved her life and was willing having a change of heart. She was more concerned about that Wolf than a walker herd invading the inside of the community[/BLACKOUT]

I'm somewhat disappointed where the writers took the Wolves storyline. We never got a backstory on them. The writers left their whole way of life and philosophy a mystery. Plus they got less threatening each episode especially after “Conquer” and “JSS”.[BLACKOUT] I didn’t feel like it was a satisfying conclusion for the last Wolf standing.[/BLACKOUT] Was the Wolf reformed or not? A wasted plotpoint to prove to Morgan his philosophy is wrong. :whatever:

During the middle of season 5 somebody( from SHH) posted a comment about [BLACKOUT]Carl’s eye getting shot[/BLACKOUT] around this point in the comics without using spoiler tags. So that moment didn’t have the impact it should’ve on me either.

Oh yeah and got to love the unlimited amount of ammo in that firearm they gave Glenn when he attempted to save Maggie from that platform. It puts Hershel’s unlimited ammo rifle from the season 2 finale to shame, but he at least reloaded.

Great ep.
Isn't the wolf guy already bit? What can she do...?
My guess was that she was going to choppy choppy his arm.

I prefer the way things worked out. :o

Couldn't help but laugh at Jessie and her entirely family getting offed all at once. Just a heaping dump of tragedy. One that Rick seems to have gotten over by episode's end.

I think Rick's mentality is clear.

Carl >>>>>>>> milf and her boys.

Watching this ep was about the closest I've felt to reading the book in it's full insane glory.
Cheers to the producers for actually following through.

This ep had some very strong and very weak moments.

I think the death of Jessie and her fam was a little awkward and lame/anticlimactic. Personally I wouldve just had the young son die. Jessie needing to be knocked out and carried (by Rick) and the other son shooting Carl and running away. Would've been more exciting imo. As it stands it was fairly convenient that all three family members died in the course of 60 seconds without overwhelming the entire group.

I liked the battle sequence and thought it was handled pretty well, but Rick probably shouldve gotten bitten and lost a limb. What are the odds no one (including the townsfolk) was harmed in that whole battle?
Also kinda feel like this wouldve made a stronger mid-season finale than premiere. But... whateva. I'm not in charge.

And WHY use a rocket launcher on the lake of fuel when a match or lighter wouldve done just the same?

That mass walker killing spree is my squad goals. :o

the sound of the explosion got the walkers attention... /needlessly defending an amazing episode.

Even though it was true to the comic, it is unfortunate that [blackout]Jessie[/blackout] had to go. Both because she had promise and because I'm sure a lot of c***y Richonne fangirls are probably dancing on her grave right now. She was a much stronger character than her comic counterpart and Tumblr girls crap on her because she stood in the way of their ship.

Glen and Enid in the church was pretty bad too lol
