So the synopsis for Something to Fear makes it sound like we lose at least two characters, someone in the previous episode and someone in the finale.
The Walking Dead - Episode 6.14 - 6.16 (Season Finale) - Titles and Synopsis Revealed
Episode 6.14 - Cross
Episode 6.15 - The Calm BeforeHeath and Tara are still out on their supply run. Instead of finding goods for Alexandria, they find trouble.
Episode 6.16 - Something to FearRick's group confront a horrible situation they may not be able to overcome.
In the aftermath of a tragic blow, Eugene falls captured by Dwight, a member of the Saviors, whom are hell bent on getting even with Alexandria, Negan teaches Rick and co a brutal lesson, which shows that Rick and co finally have something to fear.
I'm guessing the bashed head pics Glen found in the barracks were Negan's victims?
yup.
Are they there as a reminder to his men of what could happen if they step out of line?
I'm interested to see how JDM plays the role, I find him a very charismatic and likable actor, he's not someone I can easily imagine hating and fearing.
Extra good points.@4thWallBreaker
I agree. The price of time jumping. It takes Morgan two months to discuss with Carol about that whole Wolf incident? So both of them were preoccupied for two months to even cross each other's paths or reconcile their differences?
Same for Maggie's conversation with Enid in "The Next World". She waits after two months to make an attempt to console and bond with Enid for helping her and Glenn. The excuse the writers give is that Enid's never around.
Then Deanna being a walker and somehow able to escape the community unnoticed to roam the woods outside of the ASZ for two months. Even though she should've been devoured by the walkers that overran her room, during the mid-season finale.
Ha ha, that is so true.Carol is the danger. She is the one who knocks!

Is there any justifiable reason Maggie and Carol went on the mission to take out the Saviours?

^ Haha! Don't be too harsh. It was acceptable. Maggie wants to show leadership, so she tags along. Though she doesn't directly involve herself in the conflict. Then Carol watches over her and convinces her not to go in 'cause she's preggers. Then ambushed. It wasn't too hammed up. :P
