It looked less like teeth to me, and more like tendrils snaking their way out of his mouth.

I have a feeling that BH will look more "sinewy" than his comic counterpart, with little ropey fibers all over his body...but we'll see, I suppose.

Maybe the studio is holding off revealing the look of Wes and Peter's characters, this early in the game.
Personally for me there's nothing worse than seeing the entire movie in the trailers.

And yeah, what sense would it have to make GR look almost exactly like he does in the book (excluding his bike) and then make Blackheart some dracula-looking toothy thing? Blackheart as he appears in the comics would be scary as hell in the movie!

They should just have you scupt the costume, your figure of him is damn good....I bet you read the Nocenti DareDevil run don't you.

If Thats Blacheart, then whos the guy In a long trenchcoat, facial hair and Long black hair, I think I saw him in a pic standing next to him ^ and thought he'd be blackheart, cause of the long hair resemblance to his head.

msj has said that throughout the movie, blackheart will constantly be changing. we'll mostly see him in sort of a human form at first, but by the end of the movie, he will be a full blown demon. i'm guessing that shot of him from the trailer is part of the transformation.

I actually don't think we will see Blackheart in full form until it is released. They don't wanna ruin everything.

I think comic Blackheart can translate VERY well to the big screen, with a little big of additional "texture" to make the character more visually appealing. Kinda like Spidey's raised webbing in the movies.

In the comics, BH is just a big black humanoid shape with little texture, which works well for artists to draw, but could certainly turn into a pain when you bring him to the big screen, especially in a heavily night-based movie. So long as he has the dreads and the tail, I'll be happy.

It's funny how people complain about Grace being way to small to play Venom but I haven't really heard any complaining about Bentley being Blackheart. He's not much bigger than Grace is and both characters they are playing are huge. I don't understand why people complain about it actually. I'm sure once grace turns into Venom he suit will add on the extra weight lol, so I'm sure Blackheart will be the same.

If I'm remembering correctly, when BH was in human form, he wasn't a particularly huge dude. BH in "monster mode" is rather huge by comparison, and I'm sure will be achieved w/ CGI and some prosthetics.

Or maybe we're just not a bunch of crybabies who obsess over the tiniest detail..."OMG! Johnny Blaze was blonde not brunette! MSJ is the worst director ever!"

No offense to the SM boards, but some of those people wouldn't be happy unless the movies cost $7 billion and were 8 hours long apiece. Seriously, the "Topher Grace as Venom" argument is so completely absurd.

Damn, I really missed a great coversation here didn't I?

I was really excited to see the part in question in the trailer as it did a couple of things for me. First and foremost, it gave us a taste of the supernatural element of the flick, which is highly important. Second; it gave us just a little confirmation that BlackHeart will indeed be changing into demon form in this movie (not that I didn't believe MSJ when he said so) which was a deep concern of mine during the development of the movie. It's very had to tell what the final transformation is going to look like or even if it'll be more than what we've seen but, I'm happy that he is going to at least show the demon.

Personally, I think the stuff coming out of his mouth is in fact the start of his transformation and I don't think it's teeth we see. The question is how close the transformation will be to the comics... and how much the fans really care.
