The "Why So Serious? Gotham City Noir" RPG: Sign-Up/OOC Thread

At least I do something with my life other than watching movies. :cmad:

Exactly :cmad:

So, Cyrus, where you at, bro?

Sorry, I'm only really able to post something twice a week or so. I'll try and put something up, but I've been a little busy of late, I've scheduled the filming to start around MArch-April, which means I'm mega busy sortin' that out, but have no fear, a posty-post is here :) (soon)

Awesome. No worries, just wondering where you were at.

Riddler post up, it's left things a little open for you to have some of the creative fun, instead of me leading all the way :)

I'm not very good at riddles, but I'll have a post up soon.

Wow, you better check yourself, before you wreck yourself! :cmad:

I take umbrage to your unsolicited comment! :cmad:

I'm taking a hiatus from this RPG.

I'm sure you can understand why.

I don't know how I can bring myself to post as Mistah J right now. The inspiration behind it was robbed of his youth. :csad:

Try.

That sounds a little cold, I know, but the Joker is ultimately more than the actors who've portrayed him. And I know this is basically hell for the Joker players, but try to move on from it.

What about the poor person who was crushed during the production?

What I'd suggest for EBJ is to re-read The Killing Joke, Arkham Asylum, Long Halloween, and other comics featuring the character to a large degree, to get a feel of the character that inspired Ledger's performance, rather than letting the performance itself be the sole inspiration. Honor the memory of Ledger by taking in a character he clearly understood, enjoyed, and found fascinating.

Oh, I doubt that it will affect my ability to perform - what I said yesterday was a comment made in a moment of shock and grief. However, I feel weird because I want to honor him (officially) IC, but The Joker isn't the type of character who lends himself to such a thing. It would be strange to add at the bottom of a Joker post:

DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY OF HEATH LEDGER.

In any case, I will move on - and I will continue to draw upon what we've seen (and what we still have left to see) of Heath's performance. His interpretation will live on - if only with me.

Okay guys, this **** ain't funny. It's time to get this RPG in gear again. Get posting already.

If this RP is dead when I come back, heads will roll.
