This is more for young adults setting out into the world and teenagers. This is something that really scared the hell out of me years ago, but over time have come to learn to see in a different light.
One door closing, is just another door opening.
Think the video was taken down. But Jim Carrey talked about not getting into SNL and how not getting into SNL was the best thing that happened to him because it got him to where he wanted to be albeit in a way he never expected and never would have gone down otherwise.
In life there are many doors. Some of those doors close. Some of those doors open. Don't be afraid of a closing door, just think about how you can use that to your advantage and continue to progress to where you want to be. Never give up on your dreams. Never let anyone tell you it's not possible. And never think a door closing or a no is the end, it's just a beginning and I guarantee once you take a step back and analyze things you will find a way to use where you're at to your advantage in ways you never would have thought of before. One door closing is another door opening.

Success comes through team work and letting people in.
No man can be an island and find happiness or success. Success usually comes to those who let people in and form a family. Truly be there for them and in turn they'll be there for you as well ten-fold. I always prided myself on being a lone wolf, like Batman. But I never started truly down the path of success until I started to let people in.
-------------
The self-sufficient man has the courage to ask for help.
Asking for help is the sign of being self suficient, because you're bold enough to ask and others will generally want to help you find success.

Live in, and enjoy, the moment because that's what matters most.
Here's one from Shane Black (reworded, but the gist is the same and it's one I'm still trying to live by because this one is harder than it sounds):
It's the journey that matters most. Live in the moment. Because it is the journey that you will remember and hold close the most.
----------
Be yourself.
And most importantly be genuine. Be you. I'm shy, introverted, and yes I know I stressed family but keep to myself a lot. With that said I'm also wide eyed and come off as a fish in a big pond. I feel like a small town suburban guy navigating big ponds. Continue being that guy. What I've found is that attracts people to you. Whether it's people asking you for help or as big as attracting mentors who truly want to do whatever they can to help you succeed. I truly believe that the success I have had thus far, has just been with being real. Although in Hollywood, that might come off as a stronger trait than it does in other industries. I don't know. Just know that success tends to find you when you're truly just open to being yourself.
