This is the costume I want to see. Without the shoulder pads though, the rest is perfect. I prefer the silver accent over the gold and boots not sandals. Very good work Lamboman.

Thank you kind sir!

Lambo, in that manip above (love it btw) would her boots be red or blue?

^^ Haha, i'll leave that to your imagination. Personally, I would prefer a dark blue rather than red to balance out the red on top.

You know, this has nothing to do with Wonder Woman but at the same time it has everything to do with Wonder Woman. Today the next Tomb Raider was announced and that's cool to me because I like those games and Lara Croft. But that got me thinking: both Wonder Woman and Tomb Raider got rebooted recently.

And both were daring (in Wonder Woman part solely because of Azzarello) and looked to the future istead of being stuck in the past. However, opposed to Tomb Raider, Wonder Woman didn't manage to move on in one point: her costume. It still the same terrible design it was before. Her looks still about being pleasant to the eyes instead of creating a cohesive and serious character.

And that's saddens me. There are already a couple of things that make me worry about the character in the upcoming movie, but I hope her costume delivers.

I'd say that blue boots if there's a skirt and red ones if there's pants. :yay:

Ha. Ya... We simply must move on from the iconic design motifs (Notice, not the EXACT same design as when she first appeared but the consistent design elements) that make her recognizable so that you'll be appeased. I think that Chiang did change things up a bit too. Didn't he have issues with pants? And as popular as the current run is, much like Denny O'neil's reimagining I am thinking a lot of the elements now will probably be footnotes in the near future. No matter how popular fans of Brian A.'s work say it is, it's still, like all comics, not reaching near the audience it could, and has elements many long time fans find off putting, including the reworked design, color scheme and changes to origin and approach to the character.

What do you all think of Adrianne Palicki's Wonder Woman costume? I thought it looked as if someone was cosplaying Wonder Woman. And it looked terrible in the chase sequence in the pilot, terrible in a Baywatch fashion (if you know what I mean).

I think it proved my point perfectly that a bustier is simply ridiculous in live action.

if they would have used diffrent materials like leather and metal it wouldnt look so cheap.

The bustier doesn't need to be half-cup, either.

Re: Wonder Woman TV Pilot Costume

I thought some elements, like the revised pants, were okay. Overall, it was pretty terrible. The "WW" symbol on the boots, bracelets, belt, breastplate and tiara was extremely over-used.

The sole purpose of the belt appeared to be to poke a hole in her stomach if she ever needed to bend foward.

And everything seemed to be ill-fitting from the too-tight (and low) bodice to the loose pants.

But, the worst part was how cheap it looked. It looked like a hand-made cosplay outfit. And not necessarily one made for SDCC, but instead made for a sorority Halloween party. All of the "metal" elements looked like plastic. The bodice looked like it was made from the kind of material that strippers would reject as looking too cheap and tacky. And the pants looked like some kind of polyester track suit pants.

The magical boots which sported heels or no heels depending upon whether Wonder Woman was walking or running were just annoying. If it's obvious that Wonder Woman needs low-heeled boots, then just have her wear them all the time instead of switching between two pairs of boots depending upon the stunt work!

Finally, as others have noted, the strapless bodice simply reinforced the need for straps or complete coverage in order to take the focus off Wonder Woman's attempts to recreate the Baywatch opening credits and onto her fight against evil doers.

Personally, I thought Lois Lane's "Wonder Woman" costume from Smallville was vastly superior, even though it had its own faults:

That is the correct answer lol. I haven't like all the changes to her costume but one aspect I like and think works better is the blue boots.

I am expecting something similar to the 600 issue to appear and then the battle skirt later.

As for that fake news above the article mentions the pic is a mock up and not an official one. I do think we will get a reveal within a month or so, though.

Has anyone else seen this? (Apologize if it's been posted before and I missed it). Except for the Eagle on her chest, I kinda like the costume (what you see of it anyway):

^^ Nice, but I think Wilkinson will give us better. Not liking those straps on her arms though.
