The "World of Heroes" DC RPG Season IV Signup/OOC Thread

Because we all know the Black Canary is the center of the DCU.

Hell, where do you think they got the term "super hero" from?

Anyone else see that movie 'Black Canary Returns'? Guy from X-Men directed it. Siegel and Shuster creation. Beloved icon to millions?

Maybe if it had been we would have seen real nipples. :o

How many heroes do you see in that picture? :o

I never indicated she was, in fact I wasn't even thinking about Dinah at all with that statement. Rather there are characters just as powerful as Superman that can be used.

I know, I was just kidding.

Captain Marvel? Mr.Majestic? Superboy, Cyborg Superman, Steel, and Eradicator?

Funny thing about that picture. I remember seeing that in my high schools library. No comic books or anything related in sight, but they had that poster saying something about how reading can make you a hero or some crap.

Ironic how you were listing more people to play that are almost just as strong or stronger than Superman when the majority of those people listed are Superman-related characters.

Isn't Majestros Wildstorm? Or can the Wildstorm 'verse be considered apart of the DCU because of The Cap. Atom mini and the short time Majestros was in the DCU?

Yep they're all Superman replacements. Except maybe the big red cheese, I don't know if he ever actually replaced Superman, but the argument is there.

"A perfect world doesn't need a Superman" this world is far from perfect so we need a Superman.

Hell, even Marvel has their own Superman.

I thought DC owned Wildstorm now but they weren't part of the same Universe. But, Mr. Majestic is basically Supeman minus the weakness to kryptonite and other small things if you ask me.

Majestic IS pretty much Superman.
But his planet hasn't been destroyed, and the only things he is vulnerable to are his own people. The Shaper's can pretty much own him.
When they showed up, the comic got VERY gory. Which I guess is the good thing about Wildstorm, they can get away with A LOT more than DC.

Not to mention he's a Reed Richards level genius on top of all that.

I'm going out to dinner with my family in a little while. My final post will be up when I get back later tonight.

I think I'm going to leave that as Kyle's last post for the season (unless something comes up that I think he should react to) I just feel it's a good finishing point, and I'm really happy with it. What did everyone else think?

The Sentry is NOT Superman, and he never will be.

One more J'onn post, and I'm done for the season.

I loved the last line. Really good post, and a great way to finish.

That was (obviously) my last Roy post of the season. It was a blast, especially interacting with ole Pixie Boots. I look forward to next season.

I loved it. The recital of the oath for the last few lines was a great idea, as was the picture used and...well, the entire post, really.

There's an awards thing?

Yep, we do awards every 1000 posts, and at the end of each season. Here are the categories:

BEST STORYLINE
BEST HERO
BEST VILLAIN
BEST DEVELOPED CHARACTER
BEST FIGHT
BEST POST

I got the idea from the Marvel awards, so thank Master Bruce for posting the categories there first ;)
