Geez...why does this all have to be on the first week of classes?
*bangs head against desk*
Why...why...why...why....

I don't want to since it would be too hard for me myself to work on two characters...but man read Villains United and you will see why I am so into that character now.
They are really good.Spike_x1 said:Just curious as to what everyone thinks of the pics of Rudy I've been posting lately. Most of them are modified from Venom, but a couple of the more recent ones were made from Despero and two from his fight with the Martain Manhunter in JLA.
What've I missed? So you want Superboy, a JSAer and a GL. Thats the problem I was having. We have a two character limit. No ammount of "but the storyline will be in space" will change the limit.Purple Man said:I dunno, I guess people just like to make big deals out of small suggestions. They would rather keep things stagnant than try and make some real change.
I know the Titans, JSA, and JLA need some help. I'm already on the ground floor with the Titans, and will be taking greater strides in the future to insure it actually becomes a team instead of the 'Further Adventures of Superboy, Robin, and Ravager'
The JSA I will campaign to bring back next season, though I will need some cooperation from people who want to fill up some of the chairs at the meeting room table and help me find a good excuse for their absence. Why would the Justice Society go underground? Who would be on their roster? I have some suggestions for the line-up, I just hope I can get people to fill the roles.
The JLA doesn't need any of my help. All the characters are already in place.
I'm starting to play Catman in the Ultimate DC rpg. A regular DCU Thomas Blake wouldn't be a real stretch, but I would rather spend my extra character on someone from the JSA. If I had my way I'd take him in a heartbeat. But politics and all that.
And in closing. Yes I would like everyone to get a GL, but those opposed, I'm not going to twist your arm. This is supposed to be fun, and I would never force anyone to do anything despite what character I get my screen name from.
Anyone read the new JLA? Freaking shocked at what characters are in the roster.

I thought I saw them before, but they work because I'd imagine Parasites fingers to look like that.
That was the pointwiegeabo said:Hope you don't mind me taking Arsenal to the brink of death, but I saw the 'walking towards the light' as an opening to scare the hell out of Dick and Sinestro.

Well, I know I've thrown stuff in from recent continuity... I put Roy where I thought he'd show up (Checkmate) and now I move that we shove Ollie outta the JLA so Roy can be where he is in the comicsbatnkevlar said:Well, if someone plays Ollie, then well, mayor of Star City isn't too much of a stretch, is it? I mean, it's up to the players... I'm including Wally West's kids, and you know, Green Lantern Corps stuff could parallel what's happening, i guess. It's a thought.

Oh...I think some arrangements can be made to assist you with that, my dear.twylight said:Though evil is tempting...I'd need help making an evil plan..

It did diverge from DC continuity, but that doesn't mean we can't work current things into it. Like say Alan Scott being the White King of our Checkmate.Purple Man said:I say Ollie stays JLA and Roy Checkmate.
I think it works better for both characters, and I guess I'm just not feeling with trying to similate current continuity. I kinda felt that the rpg became divergent of the main DCU a couple years ago in comic book time. Or at least pre Infinite Crisis.
Hmm, maybe we could do some multiple reality spanning story, about how the rpg universe branched off from the regular DCU.
If the JSA thing falls through, maybe I'll pick up Psycho Pirate or somebody and go all Grant Morrison with it.
Johnny Blaze said:Yeah, I'll take a pass on the Corps idea too.
If I ever did get a second character here it would be to play McCulloch again.
Not having them count against the two character limit is stupid. The big argument against TWO characters was that it may water down the storylines for the people who play two. Allowing them to play three would be even worse for it.Purple Man said:I was just suggesting that we each could have a bonus character to play around with on a seperate story line. Not having the Lantern count as one of our two allowed characters because its more of a back up tale than something that is going to affect the grand scheme of things. Though they could be the first line of defense against some new threat headed towards Earth.
If the Lantern character counts as our second allowed character, then I will have to pass too. I'm not wasting my chance to help reform the JSA so I can play with my idea. Though I do like the idea, now is just not the time until we can all agree on it.
This is bad, I'm losing enthusiasm for my own idea. The corps have a lot of potential, and would be an awesome idea. But like a lot of good things, politics shoot it down.
So who is with me on the JSA. Since Captain Marvel and Black Canary have shown up recently, they would be welcome to join, probably just not initially when they make their return. Here is who I was thinking could be on it if we could fill the roles.
Wild Cat
Sentinel
Jay Garrick
Powergirl
Dr. Fate
Stargirl
Mr.Terrific
Dr.Midnite
