I was thinking of having someone else wearing the helm of Nabu. Not sure who yet.

Well, you could have Fate take on an aprentice. I have a couple of ideas I could PM ya'.

Thats kind of what I'm wondering. There are a couple of RPGs that are for putting new spins on characters, like UDC and One Universe...

Why do we need a new Fate

Because I want to mess with the identity of the person under the helmet. Plus there's already been at least six Dr.Fates, one more won't hurt.

I have an idea of who it could be, but I'd like to keep that hush hush at the moment at least until I finalize my decision.

And if it will make you guys feel better, I'll figure out a way to explain what happend to the Fate that came before him.

An apprentice might work, though that wouldn't come until later after I establish the good doctor first.

I'll try to have an app up before the end of this season.

For now, I gotta go though. Going to see Alice Cooper at the Michigan State Fair.

PS: Red X always has the best avatars, I'm jealous. Though I'd like to think that Mario would fire flower fry Snake and make him Extra-Crispy Snake.

You realise that it more than likely will not be approved if you don't tell us who your making into Fate, right?

Why? We've had mystery characters before.

Just so you know Purple, I am not sure of your plans, but the character who is going to be Fate has to be already created, you can not create the person.

Yes, but the mystery character have always been the same person..for example...Dinah wasn't gallomping around in Batgirls' or Huntresses gear.

Yeah, it wasn't someone else taking over a mantle of an established hero.

If it was an existing character wouldn't it mean two characters couldn't be be used, both Hector and the other character.

Fate has always been more about Nabu, than the person wearing the helmet.

Though your argument is giving me more fuel to my creative fire.

My made up Dr.Fate won't be around forever. "The Pretender" as I will call him for now, will eventually give up the mantle to Hector, but that won't be until after some serious $#!^ goes down.

Everything I thought of so far has been just off the top of my head, so I'll have more details when I have the time to sit down and think.

Just try and leave this one up to Fate.

Purple, you can't make up characters. End of story. You have to either keep Dr. Fate Hector Hall, or you have to have an already exisiting character, that has background in magic or is a normal person, like Jimmy Olsen, and have them take the mantle, but that most likely is not a good idea.

Stop telling each other what you can and can't do.

As for Purple Man, let him flesh his story out a bit before we start critiquing it. Why can't he have a 'pretender'? We had Parasite as Luthor for a long time. Just so long as it goes back to the existing character.

Purple Man please finish fleshing your story out and let us see it a little more. And for your own protection I suggest not commenting on ideas until you've got them fleshed out.

The problem before was creating new GL's. That was out of the question, and was denied. Now, Purple wants to put a new persron behind Dr. Fate, a person that seems to be a new character that Purp made up. What is the difference between creating a new Green Lantern and creating a new Dr. Fate?

He would probably be using an existing character for the 'new' Dr. Fate....Let's let him explain it all before we jump down his throat.
