Double meaning there? :p

I already gave a decision a few pages back.

However, I'd like to talk to you about using the same idea in the Multiverse RPG...also since it's practically dead and no matter how much we prod it with a stick I'd like to take the reins on it for now and ask that you come up with one or two 'mission' ideas that we might be able to use there.

Though I'll give you a heads up...they might be tweeked a bit. ;)

Double meaning? Definitly. That sentence was the inspiration for my Dr.Fate story.

Fate, magic, reality. Fun little concepts I want to mess with. I threw a few PMs your way, Twy. Lemme know what you think.

I'd like the story to start in this rpg. Though it could easily branch off into the Multiversers, and may even become a catalyst for a crossover event that could invigorate new life into the comatose rpg.

I'd also like to take this time to ask what everyone thinks about my Superboy posts. I know they are rather brief compared to most of the posts on the board, but I like to think they're short and sweet. Though I could just be trying to be nice to myself.

I think if we EVER did a crossover "special event", it would have to be between the Marvel and DC RPGs. That would be awesome to do like over a one-month period or something, in between seasons.

I was going to suggest that too after we got the Multiversers back on its feet.

I have a couple ideas for a Marvel/DC crossover as well. Definitly worth looking into.

Yeah, that's why I thought OU was created for in the first place.

Personally, I wouldn't want to see a crossover with any of the RPGs (DC, Marvel, Multiverse, etc), but that's just me.

Yeah, I'm not sure if its one of these things that qualifies as "nice idea, but wouldn't work in practise." If it WAS done, it would have to be short-term, only for one work, and the logistics of the crossover would have to be carefully worked out.

Of course, I'd mainly be doing it to have my Joker interact with Electro UK's Deadpool...:o

Well, I can see it done if players are given an option if they wish to be involved in it or not ('cause I probably would not be).
Maybe set it up on a distant world like a Secret Wars, or what not. That way the PCs who don't wish to participate won't be forced into anything they don't wish to be a part of.

Of course it's a bad idea if it's not well thought out.

If you have the plan, and the manpower than anything is possible.

It's only a bad idea when you don't want to put in the effort. I'd be willing to back it up 100% when the time is right. And the one universe rpg is for a combined universe while this idea would involve letting players play their characters from their respective rpgs.

Crossovers are always fun as long as they have a good premise.

I'd love to see a Dr.Doom and Lex Luthor team up. Or Dr.Strange and Dr.Fate.

Let me know when you want to finish things off but Ra's/Lex/Supes only, honestly I'm not interested in working with JRK again.

All-right fair enough the 3 of us it is....whenever you want Ras to show up at the Lexcorp tower we can get to tying up our loose ends.

Ready whenever you are Red X.

I don't know, we already have something like that...I really don't think it is really needed. Maybe the real mods would even shut it down if they thought it was the same as the One Universe.

It's nothing like One Universe. First it wouldn't have the same people playing the same characters as the One Universe rpg. It would be the people from the World of Heroes rpgs playing their characters, with their continuity meeting up with characters from the other universe through a not yet decided means.

For example, Twy could play her Scarlett Spider, and Black Canary, and see how they would interact. Or in my case, Superboy and the Sentry. Hmm. Would be interesting to match my Sentry with Thornes Superman. Or Reds Luthor meets Tony Stark.

The mods wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole, don't worry.

We can discuss the mechanics of such an undertaking a little later on. This is still a rough concept. Let's just not let this fall by the wayside.

They wouldn't.

If it was a one time thing...one with a specific arc that only lasted a month or two...I think it would be sort of fun. :)

Seconded.

But as mentioned, only if people have a choice of taking part or not.

Exactly what I was thinking. Have a massive brain storming session to decide where we want to go with it. What will lead to it in the individual rpgs, and what impact it will have afterward.

It'll take some work, but I'm sure a dedicated few who want to roll with the idea can make it work.

I'm most definitly in.

This picture made me think we should skip the big cosmic plot and have something more villain centric.

Why would the mods touch?
It sounds cool.
Gog versus Thanos in space.
That would be the greatest battle EVER!

Incorrect!

Darkseid v. Thanos would be the greatest battle ever. Heck, I'll let Thanos have the Inifnity Gauntlet, too. He'll need a handicap. ;)

Only if someone plays Darkseid in the DC Rpg.
Unless we have him fight a NPC.

The people don't have to stick with just the characters they normally play in each RPG. :o

Wait..so I don't get to use my whip?

I think the main three villains from each universe would probably be.

Marvel- Thanos, Dr.Doom, Ultron

DC- Darkseid, Luthor, Brainiac

It has that sort of symmetry going on.

I also wouldn't mind seeing Taskmaster and Deathstroke, maybe throw in Magneto too to see how he reacts to a world without mutants.

These sort of things we could discuss forever.

The concept of a DC/Marvel acrossover is interesting, however I think for a lot of reasons it should remain just that a concept.

Its has alot of holes...

What do you do if people don’t want to be in the crossover? Do you alienated players for the sake of the crossover? What if someone from Marvel doesn't have a vast knowledge of DC and are thrown into an arc where they simply get confussed or vice versa.
