"Befor we left the watchtower, I was reading some old League files. One of them was on the Grey Man. It said that the Grey Man is a mystical entity who collects the latient magics from dying humans. The file also said that the last grey man became fed up with his job, kept the magics for himself, and became so powerful he nearly destroyed the world. If we can find the current grey man, mabey we can convince him to transfer thoes magics into Constintine."

OOC: I'd like to thank my recently aquired collection of the first dozed issues of the Gifin/DeMattes/Maguire run on the Justice League for this idea.

"Yes, I remember that. How are we supposed to find the current Grey Man?"

OOC: Mate, you do know that the Watchtower's already destroyed, right?
OOC: We'll just say that he got out just before it happened. Not too big of a difference in time. Just a couple minutes.

OOC: I assume that it's Question's home base. I'm not so sure either.

"I was hopeing Constintine would be able to locate him."

Constintine cuts in

"Yeah. I know where he is. An I can get you there. But mabey in an houre. I've got a headach you wouldn't ****ing beleive."

*I felt something. Something I hadn't felt in a long time. Something was missing. The fear gas was gone and fear was still running rampant. I noticed the Watchtower, it was in ruins, my ring said. But no, that wasn't it.

All my life I've lived alone. If you dont' have anyone to love, you have nothing to fear. I'm fearless. Of course I am. But along the way, I fell in love with Carol. And then again with... God, no...*

"Status on Dinah Lance, ring. NOW!"

~Status: deceased, sir. My apologies.~

"What the ***** are youy talking about? She's ALIVE. You're wrong, you worthless piece of junk!"

~I am sorry, sir. She is dead. Killed right now.~

"Any way..."

~NO, sir. She is gone for good.~

*I didn't know what to say. My ring shut itself off as my heart stopped and I dropped to the ground from flight, feeling the pain as I broke my ankle and my legs. I dropped to the ground and pounded furiously on the ground. My eyes began to water as I shut them, tears rolling down my cheeks.

I had failed. It was only time until they came after one of the League. Now Dinah is dead and I am left alone.*

~Healing legs, sir.~

*I gritted my teeth, tasting the blood in my mouth and I pushed my willpower ti the fullest as I reached maximum velocity, approximately 3/4 of lightspeed.*

"SCARECROW!!!"

Keystone City: Now

Tony Gambi, also known as Replicant, had a neutral stance on the events in Keystone City up until 15 seconds ago. Now that he didn't care... But he had his own agenda, not a villian or a hero, as of yet anyhow. But that all ended when Mordu's Sons of Anubis attacked him moments ago.

They charged around a street corner, eager to bring death and destruction to another part of this seemingly doomed city. A lone man, albeit an abnormally tall one, was the only human in site. Dressed in a large trench coat, hat pulled down over his eyes... The SoA's charged, weapons raises, skittering down the street like wild beasts, some one foot, some holding onto the sides of buildings. The leader of the pack swung his weapon with all his might, preparing to decapitate yet another hapless human... But was to say the least suprised when the forged steel weapon broke on the side of this "humans" head.

Silently, the figure turns, over two dozen SoA's freezing in their tracks, reluctant for the first time in thousands of years. The hat flutters to the ground, torn... And Replicant speaks...

"You just wasted a damn good hat"

His eyes shine brightly, menacingly through his see through, violently ever changing insides. He lashes out, inanimate matter bending to his will. The very pavement comes alive, turning into giant fists and crushing some of the Sons of Anubis, others have their own weapons morph violently, cutting them into ribbons. Replicant strides towards the SoA's in the back of the pack, facing them down as they back away. His powers flare once again as he moves his hands, pointing them at his enemies. Transmuted to dust, helium, pure potassium, nitroglycerin.

Only one SoA remains. Terrified, he drops his weapon. Replicant raises his mighty fist, and backhands him acrost the street, through half a foot of mortar, into a building.

Silently, he utilizes his dimensional warping powers to transport him to the place he was going before he was interrupted, oblivious that he has unwittingly helped a city by destroying some of their would be destroyers.

Next: The JLA Watchtower (Or what's left of it anyway)

"Alright time to go out on the town"

Kyle Rayner opens up his closet takes out a leather Jacket and strolls donw the street, scanning for chicks while on his way to the local pub

“And who is going to stop me, boy? You?” Laughs the Dark Lord as grabs hold of Nightwing with a mystical aura and lifts him off the ground. With a wave of his hand, the false Batman is sent flying across the street and crashes through the window of a bakery, landing midst a pile of broken glass and bread. Dozens of the Sons of Anubis are now running about causing strife and chaos, and more continue to file out of the crevice. Six of the undead warriors move in on Nightwing, charging towards the bakery with screams for blood.

Turning his attention to the latest arrival, Mordru creates a magical field around himself.
“Ah, the Kryptonian. How nice of you to grace us with your presence”, says Mordru, mockingly.

"I should say the same to you." I say, while unleashing a barrage of heat vision, destroying the undead that were following Dick. "Undead? An interesting choice, Mordru. Did you get tired of only disturbing the living? So now you can disturb the rest of the dead to enslave their bodies to your will? You make me sick."

I swing my arm in a low arc, smashing more of the animated corpses. "Consider this your emancipation." I say to them.

A bolt of magical energy nails the Man of Steel right in the chest and sends him careening through a large brick wall and into the middle of a small park.
“Now, now, Superman…I shall brook none of that”, says the Dark Lord as he calmly flies after him.

“Or should I say, Clark Kent”, smiles the Dark Lord as he crosses his arms and transforms the trees in the park into snarling monsters of magic. “Let me introduce you to some friends of mine, Clark.”

As the tree monsters begin to move in on Superman, Mordru silently casts the spell, Onyx Hunger. A spell created long ago by Arion, Mage of Atlantis, that absorbs the power of a combatant into the caster, making them stronger.

OOC: Explain to me exactly how this is supposed to work, so I can act accordingly.

OOC: The more you two fight, the more of Superman's energy Mordu absorbs. He's essentiall fighting you with yourself.

OOC: Pretty much.
Basically, the more you fight me, the more of your energy I absorb into myself, making me stronger.

*BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP*

Kyles JLA pager contacts him and tells hims to get to the watchtower immediately.

"Fun"
Says Kyle right before he curls up his fist and is gone in a green streak of light

OOC: Does it drain me when I fight the tree-monsters, or just Mordru himself?

OOC: Mordru has gotten a gang together. They have released a magic gass onto Keystone city that makes you worst fears become real. They've blown up the watchtower, killed a bunch of heroes including Black Canary, and are currently wipeing the floor with Superman and Nightwing.

IC:Oracle

My stomach is sick from the...unsual form of transportation here. I sit in a corner, leaning against the wall with my arms wrap around myself in hopes of trying to contain the feeling of nausea that's been plaguing me since I, along with other JLers, was thrown rather uncermoniously here.

I rest my head againts the wall and close my eyes all the while Bruce,Constantine and The Question discuss what to do. I don't feel the need to input anything at the moment. I feel...exhasuted. Which is weird considering the fact that all I've been doing for teh past few days is sit, monitoring events, I'd rather not think about.

"Yeah. I know where he is. An I can get you there. But mabey in an houre. I've got a headach you wouldn't ****ing beleive."

Constantine's annoyed voice reaches my ears, and I open my eyes glancing up at the men standing before me. "Tell me about it," I mutter, massaging my temples with my fingers in order to stop the throbbing in my head. They look down at me, almost intimidating standing there in front of me and I almost feel guilty for complaining. So, I've lost the Clocktower once again, so I've lost Alfred, so Dick and Dinah are out there indulging in things I'm too worried to fully get the grasp of. I heave a sigh. And to think I'm one of the 'lucky' ones in this fight...

OOC: Actually, I'd say only when you fight Mordru.

And we didn't cripple the Watchtower. That was the Parasite. :D

OOC: Thanks. I guess.

Trees.

Trees are attacking me. I punch one as it approaches me, snapping it in half. More started to come at me through the opening I had made with the one I punched. They scratch at me with their talon-like branches, leaving behind shallow, yet painful cuts that bleed like there's no tomorrow. Which there might not be if I stick around here much longer.

I fly straight up, breaking through the upper braches of the taller tree-monsters, and I only stop when I'm completely out of their reach. A few bursts of heat-vision ignite the leaves of three of the taller trees, and a deep breath provided enough of a wind to spread the flames through all of the monsters. I can't feel the heat of the flames, but I notice that I'm starting to sweat.

"What else do you have to offer, murderer?"
