Digger Harkness awakened in the new day just before noon. It was check out time, but he shooed away the cleaning lady and called the front desk to continue his stay. He called back to order a club sandwich sent up to his room. While he dined on his late breakfast, he tuned the TV to the local news station.
"...changes in policy in Nigeria due to the intervention of John Stewart. The former U.S. Marine turned superhero used his considerable influence to bring about change in this war-torn region. Putting himself on the frontlines to put a halt to the aggressions in the region, Stewart was able to forge a peace between warring governmental factions and tribes. A move unprecedented for a Justice Leaguer by taking the lead in a local political arena...."
Digger smiled as he thought about Houngans' reaction to Stewarts' actions. He quickly changed his mind, however, when he considered the ramifications of this action. Enforcing ones' will upon others smacked of fascism to him, and he didn't much care for it.
'Let's see how the blokes game plays out...if he sets hisself up to be God, then ol Digger may have to take him down a peg' he thought to himself.
He quickly dismissed the whole situation, as there was a Rugby match on that he had $5,000 riding on. The real world could wait...he had ACTION on this game and his team was down right now.......
