The cool night air cause a strand of blonde hair to stream against the night sky, as Dinah walked back to her Hotel.
Her night on the town had been fruitful, and she had the company much more than the woman at the restaurant earlier in that day.
The information he had given had been about as forthcoming as the older womans, though with a very different motive. Dinah smiled as she walked through the old door and mounted the stairs.
After the first few minutes of flirting she had enquired as to his purpose there.
He was one of many business men there for a mini summit held at this particular subsidiary of Wayne Enterprises. Along with the business men came a few Lawyers, for the obviously apparent reason of Business.
Except for a few select, most of the men and women who had come for the summit had left along with the tag-a-long lawyers. The rest were staying for prolonged business talks.
He had winked at her then and lead her to the bar to refresh her drink, thereby asking about her line of work. The evening evolved into other conversation and after it dawned on him no action would happen that night he left her with his business card and his room number written on the back.
Just in case she was ever interested in bulk sales of beakers or something else *wink*.
Opening her room door she walked over and turned on the night table lamp. It cast a soft golden gleam over the room. Taking out a napkin and a piece of paper from her clutch she sat her purse on the table.
Sitting on the bed she laid the papers next to her, took off her heels and pulled the pins out of her hair, letting it cascade down her back.
Picking up the pieces of paper she looked at the words.
The lounge and bar started to empty out at around 12:00 so she ordered another drink and asked the Bartender about the amount of Lawyers checked into the Hotel. Because they were more her taste, she paired it off with a bewitching smile.
He smiled back and said he knew a few who were here. She had responded with a thoughtful look and asked if there were any not involved in corporate law. She hadnt been able to find any in town earlier and she was in need of one.
He had nodded as he handed her, her drink, and gave her a few names.
Any of them interesting? She asked with a wink.
Apparently, two. One, a Jake Melbourne, who liked to take pictures around the WayneTech buildings and had an interest in international superheros.
Another an Australian, Bill Franklin, who didnt seem to be involved in the WayneTech summit but seemed to be a bit of an adventurous type. Hed leave for hours at a time in casual clothes, taking hikes and what not. He preferred Fosters, was the only other tidbit the Bartender had given her before sending a wink her way and moving to help a new arrival.
Taking a sip of her drink she had glanced at the TV screen, which was set to an English channel.
Seeing the word Gotham paired with a stylized cityscape appear on the screen over the female newscasters left shoulder she asked for the volume to be turned up.
CNN News reporting: ...yesterday, there seemed to be trouble, as most of the inmates incarcerated at famed Arkham Asylum have escaped...One section of the city has already been frozen by the criminal genius/scientist, Mr. Freeze, while another section was overtaken by abnormally large and aggressive plant life...However, both of those situations seem to be under control, as Supergirl has been seen thawing the frozen parts of Gotham with the aid of Nightwing, and the plant activity seems to have stopped once Batman and Robin were spotted at the scene...Also, another of the escapee's, Killer Croc, was turned over to authorities by none other than Superman himself...Yes, the World's Greatest Hero is helping out in Gotham City and the citizens are expressing their gratitude for Earth's champion coming to protect their fair city..."Superman's presence makes us all feel safer," said Edna Proctor, a shopkeeper..."Yo, havin Big Blue on the scene is dope," says Zeke 'Z' Washington, rapper......In other news
She had left after that, tipping the Bartender generously, and had requested the room information of the Lawyers at the front desk on her way out.
Sitting on her bed she studied the it. Bill Franklin had signed out that morning, having relocated to a Marriott down the street. Tomorrow, or rather today, shed make a hotel move. That was her guy. Even without the Australian nationality as a tip...the name..She smiled.
Now to contact Babs, before a quick nights sleep. Reaching over she picked up her comm.
