Damn the WWE for unmasking El Generico.

On Monday’s post-WrestleMania 29 edition of WWE RAW, Dolph Ziggler finally cashed in his Money in the Bank contract and defeated Alberto Del Rio to capture the World Heavyweight championship. There have been many fans emailing in asking if Ziggler’s title win was the result of the extensive re-writes to the RAW script that occurred after The Rock had to pull out of the show due to injury.
According to PWInsider.com, the title change was not a last-minute decision and had been planned for weeks. The reason that Ziggler lost so many matches leading up to WrestleMania is because WWE wanted to set him up as a “vulnerable” champion, with many challengers already lined up because they just beat him.

Recently thinking about it I'm hoping they include the post WM Raw in the WM29 Blu-Ray, I only want the HOF ceremony but man having that show would be wonderful.

Caught up on Impact and SD.

Impact

- Poor use of the 2 out of 3 Falls stip, not bothered about the title change as I expect those belts to chance hands a few times over the next few months.

- Is Gutcheck now an exercise in making the obviously wrong choice so they can then go out in the ring and get crapped on by the fans?

- Taryn Tyrell screams "Stripper!" more than any female wrestler in a long time.

- Bad Influence were glorious bastard's in the "AJ's decision" promo segment, their mic work is top 5 in the business right now.

- Full Metal Mayhem was a decent match even though the Swanton table spot looked so stagy. I thought it was hilarious that Tenay and the other guy were so outraged at the use of a hammer in a match with no rules. :funny:

Though they were great together, I much rather see Roode and Aries continue on as singles and give other talents the rub. It'll give other programs in TNA a change to be interesting.

Gutcheck is a dud these days. That being said, I do know one of our Latino contestants from last month will be eventually paired up with A&8's.

Bad Influence is superb! They had me cracking up during their promo and they added a fun twist to the AJ angle. Kazarian really has come a long way on the mic. His "brother brother" line was classic!

I like TT, though it's obvious she is limited in the ring. TNA badly needs to bring Miss Assmacher and Mickie back into storylines.

I was a bit let down by the main event. Obviously they had some set backs when the ladder and tables broke or fell over, but the ending just felt lackluster.

I would prefer TNA use a different ramp for their stage. The old WCW ramp to the ring always seems to hinder the matches that involve outside action or high spots.

Guess who may be returning...AND feuding with Lesnar?

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Former WWE Superstar Dave Batista has been working to get back into wrestling shape, and is fast approaching his 290-pound billed weight during his last run with WWE. The former 6-time World Champion left WWE in 2010 to pursue his interests in acting, as well as a career in Mixed Martial Arts.

Batista has said in recent interviews that he is interested in returning to the WWE, and listed part-time workers such as The Rock and Brock Lesnar as potential opponents. With the future of the planned Rock/Lesnar match currently unknown, it is possible WWE would push to bring back Batista to fill the role of Dwayne Johnson, who was injured in his WrestleMania match with John Cena.

It is worth noting that Batista recently landed a part in Marvel's big comic book movie "Guardians of the Galaxy" which is set to begin filming this summer.

Called it! I had a feeling Ziggler jobbing was a part of him cashing in pretty dang soon.

Eh, I don't know about this. Batista was somewhat solid as a worker when he left, but it's been 3 years. I bet he'd be a part-timer also, and now that he's an actor, I'm almost certain his treatment and matches would be as the Rock's with the padded and safe constraints.

And already he listed Rock and Brock as opponents. He isn't returning to help the main roster.

That's all we need, more part-timers taking up tv time:doh:

WWE needs to focus on building new talent and stop relying on the past.

WWE is WCW now. It really is. These nostalgia acts get the big angles while the young guys are left spinning their wheels.

As much as I don't like El Generico unmasked, he is rocking an excellent beard.

Who are some guys/ladies in WWE and TNA you'd like to see get a big push this year?

WWE: Naomi, Sandow, Rhodes, Bryan, Ambrose, Rollins, Reigns, Cesaro, and I hope Ziggler's push is big.

TNA: Magnus, Joey Ryan, Matt Morgan, Daniels, Joe, and Kaz.

The term "big push" is relatiive though depending on the person's current spot as well as other factors.

I'mma just go on and quote this and say, "I agree."

Me too. And add Cesaro to the list.

CM Punk is at UFC on FX. Didn't know he writes the x on his hands when he's not wearing tape

They shredded the HOF, only 45 minutes was shown, Foley's speech only featured the bit with Y2J and Punk, Booker and Backland's speeches were reduced to quick video recaps which was a shame as Backland's looked hilarious and yet they aired a lot of Trumps crap. Trish and Bruno''s speeches were good.

I watched the Ohno vs Regal promos/match that was posted here last night. It was a good oldschool match and any young wrestler could learn a lot from Regal's selling and facial reactions during the entire thing. I do think it would have struggled to get over on a Raw live show and if Ohno is gonna get over he will need mic time, 5 minute matches are no use to him as he isn't flashy or powerful enough to get over with short matches, his style is like Greg valentine, it takes him ten minutes to warm up.

Haha, loved Dolph's entrance on Smackdown... :D

I loved this as well, it was interesting to note that heelish commentator JBL had an issue with it while the two face commentator's defended it.

The problem is how to fit them in as the entire main event end of the roster is mired in the Aces & Eights angle, and they don't fit with the group but also don't fit on team TNA. At any rate I hope we get one PPV match between them and Bad Influence before they split.

Gutcheck is a dud these days. That being said, I do know one of our Latino contestants from last month will be eventually paired up with A&8's.
You know? as in you have insider knowledge? My guess from the start was that Ivelisse was voted out so she could get straight on the roster as Aces & Eights Knockout, as I imagine the plan will be for them to get all the belts at some point except the X division title as it's new format has ruined it.

Bad Influence is superb! They had me cracking up during their promo and they added a fun twist to the AJ angle. Kazarian really has come a long way on the mic. His "brother brother" line was classic!
Kazarian has skyrocketed on the mic, he was as dull as dishwater until him and Daniels started their duo. It feels like the same thing as Christian in WWE where they had nothing for him and told him to get himself over, so he did by doing his own stuff. Kazaniels is the same, they play off each other doing what seems naturally entertaining to them, only in this case TNA have rewarded this unlike Christians treatment in WWE.

I like TT, though it's obvious she is limited in the ring. TNA badly needs to bring Miss Assmacher and Mickie back into storylines.
Well they are facing each other next week, apparently despite being close to Tessmacher's own home town Mickie was way more over. I think the plan will still be turn Mickie heel to feud with Velvet as that was supposed to happen a while ago, but I think Mickie has reached a point where it will be hard to get the full crowd against her.

I would prefer TNA use a different ramp for their stage. The old WCW ramp to the ring always seems to hinder the matches that involve outside action or high spots.
Agreed, it's dangerous as well with those hard edges, it's the kind of set up that finished Rude's career.

He just smells the money. Triple H will be rubbing his hands with glee though, finally a chance to get that win back almost ten years later!

Triple H.........straight off a ****ing cliff!

I will. He's going to need a gimmick change first though.

Yeah, he has all the in ring in the world, but his character just ain't clicking. I don't see too much they can do with him, though.

I had more enjoyment out of tonight's UFC Ultimate Fighter Finale than I did with Wrestlemania 29.

BTW, Cat Zingano looks kind of like Lita

Really cool TV appearance from DDP and Jake Roberts about a week ago I think. Jake looks and sounds like a new man.
