That came damn close to being a disaster.

Ha perfect screen cap of enjoying the wwe network!

Thanks. It was great. Ordered some pizza, opened a can of pepsi, sat back, and watched the first Clash of Champions. I never saw Sting Vs. Flair in its 45 minutes entirety until now and Wow, what a match! I can see why Stinger became the legend he did after pulling off that performance against The Nature Boy!

Which clash of the champions show is that match on?

The Europeans are stepping up. Just need Cesaro to pick up the WWE WHC now... :woot: :oldrazz:

Put the Tag straps on McIntyre and Regal too, and we'll have the EUROlution. :hehe:

SmackDown! Spoilers 5/9/14

* SmackDown kicks off with a look at The Shield and The Wyatt Family from RAW.

* Dean Ambrose vs. Sheamus for the WWE United States Title is up first. Sheamus gets the win clean with a Brogue Kick. Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins were not at ringside. This was a good match with the crowd behind Ambrose. Ambrose did a dive out of the ring at one point and barely made it in before the 10 count.

* Cesaro and Bad News Barrett vs. Rob Van Dam and Big E is next. Paul Heyman is on commentary. Barrett runs down climate change on way to the ring and says like Big E, when the storms hit, he will be forgotten. Crowd is behind RVD and there are some Barrett chants. Cesaro pins Big E after hitting his finisher. Before that, RVD accidentally kicked Big E in the head. The match lasted less than 5 minutes.

* We get a Daniel Bryan vs. Kane recap from Extreme Rules.

* Lana comes out and says America should change and follow Vladimir Putin. Rusev squashes Kofi Kingston. Kofi got in little offense. A loud USA chant broke out during the match.

* The Wyatt Family appears on the big screen. Bray Wyatt rambles about John Cena.

* A Bo Dallas vignette airs.

* Fandango and Layla defeated Santino Marella and Emma when Layla rolled up Emma.

* Roman Reigns vs. Mark Henry is next. Reigns lifted Henry over his shoulders to show his strength and then dropped him into a Samoan Drop. Reigns hit a spear for the win.

* Los Matadores come out with El Torito to a big pop. They're going to face Heath Slater, Drew McIntyre and Hornswoggle. Torito pins Slater for the clean win.

* Seth Rollins vs. Batista is next. Crowd chants "you can't wrestle" at Batista. Rollins tried a baseball slide, but Batista scouted it and got some offense in. Batista with a few more power moves including throwing Rollins into the steps and then back into the ring. Batista hits huge suplex and is being methodical. CM Punk chants start. Rollins turns the tables and gets going. Rollins runs into spinebuster. Rollins counters Batista Bomb and Batista rolls to the outside. Rollins launches over the top rope and lands it. The second time he comes from the top rope, Batista sees it coming and sidesteps it. Rollins hits the table. Batista rolls in ring, wins by count out.

* After the match, Batista hits a Batista Bomb on Rollins as fans boo. Rollins sells an injury.

* The Wyatt Family vs. The Usos and John Cena is next. The crowd was more pro-Cena than not. There was also a loud Usos chant. The match ends when a big brawl breaks out on the floor. One of the Usos gets hit with the lariat by Luke Harper for the clean win. Cena cuts a promo against The Wyatts after the match. He says Bray is afraid and didn't get the pinfall, he got his goons to get the win for him. SmackDown ends.

Harper and Rowan should win the tag titles at some point.

Look who is front and center on the DVD cover:

Awesome! :D We got a match listing?

1) If you're backstage or come to the ring without a scheduled match, you must wear street clothes or athletic attire that covers your ring attire. By having performers dress in something other than their ring attire and latest t-shirt, it tells you a lot about their character. Also, it would ideally bring a little unpredictability back to the product, as someone who's dressed in street clothes can be placed into an unscheduled match and it will actually FEEL unscheduled.

2) To help differentiate the midcard titles, introduce a 15-minute TV time limit for US championship matches. JR has been harping about this recently on his podcast, but I tend to agree with him in that you've taken away a logical finish that can help extend feuds. Especially with the midcard titles, having a clear distinction would help define the matches it involves.

4) Reduce the number of in-show recaps of events that occurred with the show. I'm fine with video packages or footage from previous weeks, but showing long clips of something that happened earlier on in the evening is overkill and takes away screentime for guys who need it. The commentators are there, let them explain what happened earlier during entrances or other breaks in the show.

These 3 in particular would be my little changes, especially the first one, the manties promos are not a good idea, it's hard to talk tough when standing in your undies. I hate it the most when a guy who isn't meant to be at the show does a run-in wearing their wrestling gear.

I feel it can morph into something else over time. Eventually he should get sick of his entourage and become a self-destructive rockstar. Have him attack a cameraman for getting to close, say inappropriate things to Renee in interviews, get in fans faces at ringside, and create a fake YouTube account where someone records Rose getting in a fight at a club on their cell. Let him not show up for a match. His music plays but he doesn't show up.

Man if you were booking I'd have faith, that is actually a great way to go with him if they wanted to make him more serious and a threat. I just don't know if WWE have the guile to go that route for a heel turn, maybe if the people they keep in that special room where The Shield are booked get to book Rose?

Sad but heartwarming at the same time. RIP Connor.

Hunter, you know what you need to do!

:cwink:

No match listing yet for Great American Bash DVD

I don't understand why Langston doesn't get more time on the mic. Dude's hilarious! X D

I really gotta get autographs from these two next Saturday at the ROH/NJPW show.

Hayes, Punk, Cage, Lawler, Okerlund, GENIUS!!!, Kingston, Miz, Hogan, Dibiase, Torres, Phoenix, Bryan, Dibiase Jr., Kidd, Cena, Clay, Cesaro, McMahon, and Hillbilly give insight.

They play a lot of Savage's famous lines. Mean Gene states that Savage improvised a lot during their interviews.

WWE admits The Macho Man was the original Mr. Wrestlemania who got over due to his hard work ethic, charisma, colorful attire, unique voice, and Miss Elizabeth being with him to balance out his character.

Gordon Gekko (played by Michael Douglas in Wall Street) partly inspired The Million Dollar Man.

Did you know Dibiase was featured on an episode of Robin Leach's "Lifestyles Of The Rich & Famous"? Neither did I!

They showcase how wealthy Dibiase's character was in snippits of his memorable vignettes and segments. Its a damn shame he was never officially recognized as the WWF Champion because he brought the heat big time!

Not only was Savage a total package, but his Wrestlemania match against Ricky Steamboat is what got McMahon's attention. Hogan admits the WWF needed somebody to carry the company while he went off to film No Holds Barred. The rub from his involvement was needed to solidify Savage as a top player in the eyes of the fans.

Savage's face turn took place on Saturday Night's Main Event when Hogan came out to help him fight off The Honky Tonk Man and The Hart Foundation. The Macho Man extended his hand to The Hulkster and that's how The Mega Powers began.

The WWF Championship tournament was the first time WWF ever did such a thing and what better way to have take place than at Wrestlemania. They highlight Savage's victories over Reed, Valentine, and OMG while Millions Of Dollars got to the finals in cheap fashion thanks to Rousimoff's help.

Dibiase Vs. Savage was good match, but only lasting 9 minutes, I can see why its a forgotten gem. Had it been 10 minutes longer, I think it would've been a bonafide classic. Savage's title win after wrestling FOUR matches in the same night was emotional, a great shocker (Hogan was the favorite to win the vacant title back), and an amazing testament to his cardio.

They show footage of Savage's interview from the post Wrestlemania IV press conference, which I didn't know existed. They end the episode teasing a future documentary on Macho Madness.

The tribute to Connor was very well done. We criticize them for a lot of things, but when they do something great, the WWE deserves the praise.
