- Lana and Rusev are reportedly dating in real life.

- The dark segment after last night's WWE SmackDown tapings in Buffalo saw John Cena and The Usos challenging The Wyatt Family to a match. They didn't have a match but Cena and The Usos hit their finishers on The Wyatts and then celebrated together to end the show.

- Some of the WWE developmental cuts were made last week because a number of new talents are starting this month and next month. Gerald Brisco was going to send 6 to 8 amateur wrestling recruits to begin training in June at the WWE Performance Center. University of Minnesota's Tony Nelson was the guy Brisco was highest on but at last word, Nelson had not signed with WWE.

- New WWE United States Champion Sheamus was reportedly involved in a physical altercation with Sin Cara at this week's WWE TV tapings in New York.

No other details are confirmed at this point except for that Cara got the better of Sheamus.

All of Ireland raises a glass.

All of Ireland disowns Sheamus.

I love that everytime a big guy gets into a fistfight with a smaller guy, the smaller guy usually wins.

Yet Vince and the management continually question whether certain smaller guys would look credible in the ring against bigger guys.

Yet, I was going to make a smart-ass remark about Santino not looking credible as a supreme fighter when the WWE has spent years making him look like a joke....and is small. :o

Chris Jericho beat up Goldberg once.

And Joey Styles actually punched JBL in the face after weeks of torment from that *****ebag. I would have LOVED to have been there for that one. I would have started a slow clap.

Joey Styles punched JBL? I was always a fan of the guy, but damn!:up:

- WWE has changed their mind regarding plans to break up The Shield. Apparently they won't be going through with the break-up plans any time soon.

- WWE has changed other plans going forward. WWE, right now, is looking at the top four singles babyfaces for down the line to be John Cena, Daniel Bryan, Cesaro and Sheamus. This was the plan as of a little more than a week ago. The last time an internal list was made, Orton, Batista and Roman Reigns were near the top, right behind Cena and Bryan, with Sheamus as the big names planned as the top faces for down the line.

- Triple H recently paid big money for some old wrestling posters and memorabilia from collectors. WWE has also purchased some items from Charlie Thesz, Lou Thesz's widow.

- People bought more merchandise for The Ultimate Warrior in the month of April than anyone else, including John Cena. The internet merchandise numbers were Warrior first, followed by Cena, CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, The Wyatt Family, The Shield, Evolution and Hulk Hogan. At live events, Cena's sales are so far ahead of everyone else that it's not even close. The latest best-sellers at arenas have been Cena, Bryan, Randy Orton, Warrior, Rob Van Dam, Brock Lesnar, The Wyatts, Batista and Sin Cara has broke into the #9 spot.

- It appears as if WWE hasn't contacted any indie wrestlers from the March tryout camp at the Performance Center. That camp included Kevin Steen, ACH, Rocky Romero and Roderick Strong.

I believe it happened during one of the Tribute To The Troops tours, if I recall correctly.

Yeah during an Iraq tour. Styles supposedly knocked him out. JBL was apparently s**tfaced at the time so that helped a little. I guess we won't see them together on the same broadcast team any time soon...

It's interesting that 3 of the 4 men listed as top faces going forward are more known for good matches than promos.

Eh, it's not like he was getting a push anytime soon. He had nothing to lose.

- WWE reportedly called Chris Jericho this past week to see about making a return. He told them he had too many schedule commitments on other projects to come back right now.

- No word yet on what came out Rey Mysterio’s April 30th meeting at WWE headquarters but the impression was given that Rey would be offered an ambassador’s deal, particularly for Spanish language markets, and then wrestle part-time. His situation is said to be up in the air but Vince McMahon wants him back on TV.

- WWE’s Vice President of Global Digital Sales Brian Maddox left the company to work as Vice President of Advertising Sales for Silver Chalice Ventures, which creates video channels and new digital media for sports products, this past week.

- The May 2nd WWE live event in Rochester, NY drew 6,000 fans while the May 3rd live event in Syracuse, NY drew 5,400 fans and the May 5th RAW in Albany drew 9,000 fans.

- The idea of giving WWE talents time off to recharge and heal up has been talked about as a strategy down the line. The feeling right now is that may be a good thing but the weak roster depth doesn’t allow it. There is concern right now about the idea of consistently running shows without either John Cena or Daniel Bryan as the advertised headliner.

I hope they don't run another Wyatts/Shield match for six months. They're running that combination into the ground and make it seem less special by throwing it on RAW with no time to build it up.

Yup. Ishii is arguably the hottest performer right now and I think Ibushi is the perfect foil for him.

Unless his matches take a steep nosedive in quality, he's on his way to being NJPW's MVP for this year. Hopefully he gets a good run in the G1.

You have a pick for best of super juniors?
