I've still got every PPV from late 1999 to early 2001 recorded on VHS.

WMX8 was very good, but I loathe the main event purely for the Helmsley and Stephanie ego stroking, glory siphoning effect.
The Call is from the director of The Machinist, so WWE is getting involved with quality filmmakers. Dead Man Down got a positive review from Chris Stuckman, who's not a big name but his reviews are great.
Anyone makeup their minds yet on whether Mania 29 is worth a buy or even watching?
My 10 favorite Austin matches:
Vs. Steamboat - Bash At The Beach 1994
Vs. Bret Hart - Kuwait 1996
Vs. Helmsley - Buried Alive
Vs. Michaels - King Of The Ring 1997
Vs. Foley - Over The Edge 1998
Vs. Kane - King Of The Ring 1998
Vs. Undertaker - SummerSlam 1998
Vs. Shamrock - RAW September 1998
Vs. Maivia - Wrestlemania 17 (although I think WM 15 is a forgotten gem)
Vs. Angle - Unforgiven 2001
What about you guys?

Yea, but then he'd be just a cheap knockoff of The Godfather, and everyone would hate it cuz we'd all rather just have Godfather back.
I'm late but...CM Punk's DVD is one of the best I've ever seen. What he struggled against to make it to the top, and the politics dealt to him. He really is a Paul Heyman guy. It's not just a phrase.
It was funny listening to him, but he said a lot of things that we had said over the years. For example, Miz main-eventing Wrestlemania 27 instead of him...made no sense when Punk was clearly the better heel.
Definitely worth checking out. You can watch it on Netflix if you don't want to go out and buy it.![]()
Well Jericho jobbed to the empty talentless void known as Jack Swagger. I think we all saw that coming though. At least Jericho is doing what he said he would and is trying to put younger stars over. Swagger isn't the right guy in my opinion but at least he's trying. Jericho even got a decent match out of Swagger tonight.
Why can't WWE do for more younger talents what they did for Swagger and Dolph tonight? If they did we might be seeing a lot more stars getting more over.
I think Triple H has a deeper love of wrestling than Vince does. He was just a fan at one point. Vince has always been on the inside of the business. For example, If Triple H didn't reach out to Bruno we wouldn't see him in the HOF
lol the only PPV's I've ever bought was Wrestlemania X8 and Wrestlemania XX...both amazing imo.

I think once Michaels got his demons exorcised so to speak that he and Austin put any issues they had behind them. I've never heard of them having any huge issues before Michaels got hurt anyway. Shawn could just be difficult to deal with in general. Even Triple H said Shawn could be a d*** to be around at times--before he got saved. HBK and Stone Cold do seem to be pretty good friends today. They have some common interests outside of wrestling and they're both from Texas.
Trips and Shawn fell out in 2001 to the point where they weren't speaking to each other. Vince sent HBK home for being out of it and was told not to come back and HBK blamed Trips for not sticking up for him.
It just goes to show how much of a dick Shawn really was that he even alienated his best friend.
That was a great match, good work by both guys, and even the interference was done perfectly.
That whole show was fantastic from top to bottom mostly. I still have it on VHS. Yes I know, I typed VHS.![]()
Vince kept Shawn around even after initial retirement but apparently the night in question was the straw that broke the camel's back.Interesting I never knew this I always thought that Vince let Shawn get away with most things.
The Rock sold that like a true Champ. The Rock remembers it well.
Just a quick question, anyone know if it's against the rules to post a link from dailymotion?
Cool!

At 6.52 Triple H talks about the night he fell out with Shawn but the very start is interesting too as it goes through the state Shawn was in leading up to WM14.
