This made me LOL.

So I met Luke Gallows last night.

I went to a small local bar in Newnan, GA with some friends and he walked in. I approached him and shook his hand and told him I was a fan. I then let him be. I didn't want to ask for a picture or anything since I'm sure he just wanted to enjoy his night.

He was very polite and appreciative. You don't have a true idea how big he is until you see him in person.

I had a chuckle because he had and Aces & 8's shirt on under his jacket.

Interesting I never knew this I always thought that Vince let Shawn get away with most things.

Even Vince had his threshold.

The Rock was born to be an actor.

No one can sell like that anymore. Not even the Rock.

Truth. :funny:

Vince kept Shawn around even after initial retirement but apparently the night in question was the straw that broke the camel's back.

This is directly from HHH's mouth, he said it in the WWE's HBK special. I saw it on YouTube but can't find it now, will post if I can find it.

It was the night before Wrestlemania 17, when Vince bought WCW. They were in the back watching RAW, and Shawn came in, "pilled out of his gourd", as HHH put it. Even Taker was pissed.

- WWE has the "This Time It's Mine" theme song for Saturday Morning Slam up for sale on iTunes.

- We noted before that WWE officials were keeping CM Punk off this weekend's live events so he could rest and heal his reported arm injury. Punk and Paul Heyman did not appear at all at last night's live event in Providence, Rhode Island.

Punk was still being advertised and even featured on the marquee outside of the arena. There was no explanation given during the show, no refunds offered and not even a Punk mention.

- Today would have been the 38th birthday of former WWE star Andrew "Test" Martin.

- John Cena will be appearing at the May 2nd WWE NXT TV tapings from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. Sheamus will be appearing at the May 23rd tapings.

- Seth Rollins tweeted the following about The Shield making their WrestleMania debut this year:

"The hounds of justice are #Wrestlemania bound. There's not a day gone by in the last 10 years I haven't dreamt of this. #BelieveInTheShield"

Last PPV I ordered was Judgment Day 2004. I did it to support Eddie. Been watching the shows at my local sports bar ever since Vengeance of the same year and I can't even imagine how much money I saved doing that. If the show is good enough, I'll buy the DVD / Blu Ray.

@Batman

1) Never heard that one before nor I do believe it for one bit.

2) From what I understand, Savage was very protective of Liz, which she wasn't fond of. After staying with The Hogans one weekend, she coincidentally filed for divorce. Savage blamed Hogan for the failure of his marriage (as Hulk and/or Linda advised her to leave him). Combine that with Hogan's politics (making Savage a transitional champion for him as well as never losing to a match to Savage by pinfall) and you can see why Randy hated Hulk with a passion. Hogan claims Savage and him buried the hatchet before his death. Warrior disagrees. I don't know who to believe.

3) Not sure of abuse, but Luger provided the drugs that Liz overdosed on. Which is why many felt he was responsible for her death. He was denial at first, but once he had his spinal injury and found God, he came to terms with what he did wrong. His Hall Of Fame speech before Bound For Glory last year was heartbreaking to listen to.

4) Hogan always wanted to be The Man whether he had the belt or not. Notice when Savage AND Warrior were the WWF Champion, Hogan would be there to steal their thunder. Hogan had it easy with The Macho Man because Savage wasn't much of a politician and more of a team player unlike Hogan.

Damn. As much as being overprotective would be an understandable turnoff, I can't exactly blame Savage for it. The business is full of backstabbing, adultereous characters and Savage was married to one of the few female stars at the time.

Watching the Macho Man DVD, it just disturbed me how Savage's reigns had Hogan poking his nose in it. And I wished Savage would've retained at WM5

To tell you the truth, it took me a while to figure out that Luke Gallows was actually Festus until Matt Striker mentioned it.

Would a tag team of Gallows and Mike Knox work? :hyper:

Rob Conway is the new NWA champ....

For anyone who cares.

For some reason I still don't see Ryback in the match with the Shield then again they might add Henry to the mix and add Big Show and it would be a 8 man tag match.

Im sure it will just be Ryback vs Henry 1 on 1 ,fans do need toilet breaks.

The Call was pretty decent. David Otunga plays a cop.

My favorite Sheamus match was when he got his ass kicked by Triple H at Wrestlemania 26!

The Rock is hearing the Triple H vs Brock match will be a bra and panties, can any of the millions of The Rocks fans confirm?

- Madison Rayne, who has not competed in recent months, announced Sunday that the reason for her absence from the squared circle is because she is currently expecting a child.

"I want to announce b4 it gets out elsewhere, that I've been away from the ring b/c @Reaper_3 and I are expecting our 1st Raynedrop in Aug," wrote Rayne. "I appreciate the love & support y'all have shown and can't wait for this new journey."

Rayne also remarked on today's all-Knockouts pay-per-view event taping in Orlando, Florida: "It was SO NICE seeing all the girls at the Knockouts One Night Only ppv!!! Feels good to see so many familiar faces... hot ones at that."

Does anyone think that Punk's heel turn would have been better if it was done in a similar fashion to this: http://youtu.be/9aUwRm2nKfM

Maybe. This Punk heel turns reminds me of that Rock heel turn before that first Austin/Rock Wrestlemania match. Rock was getting over with the crowd and then all of a sudden he turns at Survivor Series. I always thought it strange and he even said on his DVD that he had to trust creative turning heel.

But they turned him heel by teaming him with the mega heel at the time: Vince McMahon. The problem with Punk's heel turn was there was no mega-heel. Coupled with the fact that the mega-face (John Cena) was pretty stale with most of the crowd left it, in my estimation, a disastrous angle to begin with.

I think it really improved when Paul Heyman teamed with Punk. Heyman's just a naturally great heel, it helped Punk get over as a villain.

I have a question, I'd like to hear people's opinion on this. When Nitro was killing Raw in the ratings what would you attribute that to?

I personally watched because although I thought Scott Hall and Kevin Nash were really cool I hated Hulk Hogan, I hated Hollywood Hogan and I tuned in every week to watch Sting beat the crap out of the nWo.

But I came across an article recently that gave the opinion that the reason the nWo angle was so hot was because it was Hogan's first heel turn and because of the changing fan taste at the time (boo'ing the lame face and cheering the edgy heel) that they embraced Hogan as the new hero (which I disagree with).

So where do you think their success stem from? People wanting to watch Hogan as a heel, or wanting to watch Hogan get destroyed? And why did you watch?
