The Wrestling Thread Worked Its Butt Off To Get Where It Is Today. - - Part 74

The live crowd at Monday's WWE Raw in Albany, New York did not see the final backstage segment that closed the show. Dot Net Member Zim reports: "We just got a couple minute break and then the dark main started. The screen was black during the time you all saw the final clip."

Powell's POV: I mentioned last night that I was surprised that there was no crowd reaction to Ryback staring at C.M. Punk, and obviously this explains why. The question now is why WWE decided not to show this clip to the live crowd.

As I said, I like the ending, and had just assumed the crowd had been stunned into silence by the power of Ryback. :hehe:

I didn't check this thread last night, sounds like more stupidity involving Punk, and am I reading this right, he's going to face the walking roid next?

Probably, because they need a stopgap feud for Punk while Cena heels.

I remain optimistic on this. If this is meant to keep Punk busy while Cena's off TV, then Punk will probably defeat Ryback, and in a way to puts Ryback down for a little while. How will Punk not look good coming out of that?

Oh how we wish. :D ;)

Surely they could have used someone who can actually work, like Rey, to fill in, and I imagine Punk will get beaten from pillar to post and cheat to escape the clutches of the mighty Ryberg.

We will probably see Del Rio get his 1 millionth consecutive title shot, like Batista did from 2007 to 2010.

CM Punk went all out to get himself Heel heat this Raw. Trolling the kids, stare downs, telling the crowd to shut up, calling the town a dump, bullying AJ and refs.

Next week they will have him spitting in orphans faces and burning the bible.

And Punk will still have fans, haha.

WWE should just drop the extra hour of Raw and instead just show a Daniel Bryan and Kane sitcom.

Poor kid...that was cold. :csad:

So apparently there was a reason for the zero reaction to Ryback at the end of RAW.

On a related note, ProWrestling.net is reporting that the reason why the crowd did not pop during the final stare down between Ryback and CM Punk is because the live crowd did not see the final backstage segment.

According to a fan in attendance, the TitanTron was black during the time the home audience was watching Ryback and Punk in the back.

Poor kid...that was cold. :csad:

But so, so awesome. Now all we need is Punk to badmouth the B.A. Star program :funny:

Ugh, I'm not excited for Ryback/Punk at all. This is a no-win situation.

I knew when I read that Vince wanted to elevate Ryback he'd instantly put him in World Title situation...

Ugh.
