CM Punk went all out to get himself Heel heat this Raw. Trolling the kids, stare downs, telling the crowd to shut up, calling the town a dump, bullying AJ and refs.

Next week they will have him spitting in orphans faces and burning the bible.

And still get more cheers than Cena.

I'd rather have Punk hold the title until at least Survivor Series (Royal Rumble is a huge stretch and I don't think WWE would let him hold the title for that long), but if he loses it to Cena at HIAC, I'll be disappointed of course, but accepting of it.

And yeah, shame about time because Punk Vs. Foley would've been great to see.

We will probably see Del Rio get his 1 millionth consecutive title shot, like Batista did from 2007 to 2010.

That's because HHH's Game Shark code for unlimited rematches was taken.

Yeah, Undertaker would have been worthy of CM Punk going all...

I'm still pissed Undertaker failed to put Punk over 3 years ago.

Probably, because they need a stopgap feud for Punk while Cena heels.

I remain optimistic on this. If this is meant to keep Punk busy while Cena's off TV, then Punk will probably defeat Ryback, and in a way to puts Ryback down for a little while. How will Punk not look good coming out of that?

That might not be good for Ryback but at least Punk holds the title longer. I think Hunter's suggestion of Rey Mysterio might of been a better option. The other could be Randy Orton.

Tonight WWE will tape this week's Smackdown episode from the First Niagara Center in Buffalo, New York. Here are the full results.

Dark Match

* Johnny Curtis defeated Michael McGillicutty.

WWE Smackdown (Airing Friday)

* Big Show opens SmackDown and he's not happy. He wants the World Heavyweight Title. Randy Orton comes out and hypes their match tonight. Ricardo Rodriguez and Alberto Del Rio are out next. Del Rio says he's the one who should get the next title shot. Orton ended up hitting a RKO on Del Rio and facing off with Show.

* Antonio Cesaro defeated Santino Marella with the United States Title on the line.

* Beth Phoenix beat Natalya.

* Eve Torres comes out and announces that Beth Phoenix is suspended while the Kaitlyn attack from Night of Champions is investigated. Booker T comes out and reverses the suspension. Eve blames everything on Teddy Long and storms off.

* Wade Barrett beat Zack Ryder.

* The Miz comes out for another MizTV segment. His guest is Sheamus but they're interrupted by Dolph Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero. They end up fighting and Sheamus cleans house.

* Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow defeated The Uso Brothers.

* Ryback squashed Tensai.

* Randy Orton vs. Big Show is up next. Alberto Del Rio attacks Orton as he's making his entrance.

* Big Show defeated Randy Orton in the main event. Show vs. Sheamus is announced for Hell In a Cell.

It's about time Sheamus get a new opponent. Although it's kind of odd that both champions might be heading into Hell in a cell with new challengers. These matches work better with rivals.

Mick Foley on RAW. Great segment.

I think it will be good for Ryback, IMO. #1) It shoots Ryback into a championship contender position. #2) It gives Ryback credibility that he can hold his own against a main-event level wrestler, whether he wins or loses. #3) Ryback losing to a very strong opponent is a good thing; it proves he's mortal, and will make his matches more watchable if there's a chance an opponent might win.

I was wondering where Foley was going with his 2 and 9 statistic and thinking he was going to make some corny joke and then BAM! Comes out with something so passionate and more importantly believable. The man still has it.

If Ryback wins though, he'd be ****ed. Otherwise, I agree, there are a lot of positives that can come out of this for him.

If Ryback beats Punk for the title I'll ****ing give up on WWE. No lie.

While I enjoy complaining about WWE doing dumb things I doubt they'd do something this dumb, I'm assuming Ryback is there to just distract Punk while Cena recovers in a couple weeks. However IF Ryback does indeed beat Punk for the title I may lose it.

Dunno about that, maybe the X Factor or something. :oldrazz:

Come on, man, it has to be Dancing With The Stars. Where else are we going to get a show where people with severe personality disorders wear spangly costumes?

I highly doubt that Ryback wins the WWE Title from Punk. It'll either be John Cena or the Rock.

If super cena prevails and comes back at hitc.. You think he will win?

Nope. Punk will still retain, unless WWE feels pity that Cena's been out for a few weeks.

But...knowing Vince, that idea may just happen.

I was wondering why they had him squash Miz on Raw, and him showing up at the end made that a good thing. If this leads to Foley being Ryback's mouthpiece, I will be a happy camper.

That promo between him and Punk took a lot of time, but it wasn't even noticeable, as I wanted to see what each had to say to each other. Foley's promo was probably the best promo against what Punk's been doing.

Yes. And to be fair, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if he does.

It might if Punk doesn't win it back before Royal Rumble as I definitely do not want to see Rock vs Cena at RR. That kind of match, if there needs to be one, should be at WrestleMania(but even then, I am betting on a triple threat match for the WWE title with Rock/Cena/Punk).

It would also be the worst thing if Cena wins the title back and reveals the new belt.

Raw was not bad. Just caught the main segments. Ryback is hungry!

Hey come on now, I too like Punk better than Cena, but Cena's more than earned main event and championship credibility at this point. Everybody around here seems to think Cena holding the belt again would be some offence against nature.

I'm totally fine with Cena winning it after WrestleMania, but I believe Punk, as a heel, needs some build up while carrying the title. If they wanted a face Punk to drop the title to a face Cena at Night of Champions, then that would have been fine, but to turn Punk heel....he needs some build up of extraordinary levels as a true heel with a scheming Heyman by his side than to only keep the title in one PPV as a heel and then drop right at the next.

Plus, as I mentioned before...it would be just awful if Cena is the one to reveal the new belt, whenever that is.

For the two people wondering "whatever happened to Todd Pettingil?" He's on the TV show "Dish Nation" via his radio show in New York.
