I second this, the symbiote needs to be a living organism to pose a real threat.

It is going to be interesting to see how the symbiote gets to earth should TAS version be used. I mean are they really going to show JJ in space finidng the rock and bringing it back? You know what would be cool? Having a George Washington Bridge crash like in TAS, although the film would be on a little longer than 3 hours and it would cost loads and it would be hard to find a place for it.

Still it would be cool.

I would actually like to see Jay J's son go in space then have a shuttle crash. The crash looked very cool in the 90's SPider-Man cartoon, I bet that it would be even cooler in a modern 2006 CGI. The suit should be an alien.

It could be a flashback? Either at the beginning OR When Venom is at full form with Topher/Eddie in it. He should say something like this "Stupid Arachnid, Im a higher being from you, after all I am an alien being and I have merged with Eddie Brock, with whom shares my hatred for you, I gave you power, yet you chose to object it, now you will pay..."

If they did show Jo.J's shuttle crash, it would be an interferance with the Sandman and GG2 and ? plot as Eddie would be in small parts of it, and when Venom comes, the run time of the movie would be very long, as Chris said.

i dun see the shuttle thing working out, because i would never buy a freaking space shuttle crashing into the bridge like that [neither would anyone else]. Im sure it will be a lab thing, as im sure that is alot more understandable then an alien entity then fuses with people.

mebbe thats got something to do with the suit? or electro even?
remembering that camerons 2nd treatment was electro and sandman=glass.

I agree. But not for any sensical reason. I would just like to see some gratuitous destruction and $hit blowing up!!! What can I say?

I don't see any reason they can't follow the TAS story. it wouldn't be too drastic to CG a space shuttle crash on a bridge. Even use the promethium X story, and have it so that sandman or the 4th villian is attacking the shuttle to get it.

Like I've said before. The TAS did the entire venom saga in 3 episodes. if that's the case, Raimi can pull off the story in a 2hr + movie =X

I agree that it needs to be a living organism to be a threat. Although the Ultimate version would phase easily onto the screen, Raimi is too faithful to the original series and fans to leave us with that kinda of story. The Animated series was good, but I don't know how they could pull that off. Anything to do with space can end up pretty cheezy if not pulled of just right. Ultimate Venom seems like the sissy's way out.

I really don't understand why you all want SM3 to be a live action version of that cheesy....or I should say crappy cartoon series. I mean, c'mon!!! The target audience isn't 7 year old kids. And as I've said before, I would be shocked if they go with the shuttle crash scenario. Seeing as how we've had 2 shuttle accidents (1 pretty recent), it would seem a little insensitive kind of like the WTC scene from SM1.

IMO

the suit will be a bio armor created using the goblin formula.. a catalyst to prevent the wearer from going insane while still enhancing the wearer. Non-sentient but also unstable (due to the potency of the formula)THC will put it on and it will take his genetic info (human genome, DNA).. while THC will also absorb the goblin formula.. missing some of his genetic material he will become unstable but powerful due to the formula (sand-like) the suit on the otherhand will become sentient from the human genetic material taken... it will become a DNA leech.. and it will bond to spidey..then brock
