After the last four Wrestlemanias the bar has been raised on the streak and the storylines surrounding it. I don't think Takers matches with HBK will ever be topped but I understand that. They could at least put the effort into the buildup of newer matches. Does Son in Law not want Taker vs Punk to be built up as well as Taker vs the DX duo?
Yeah while I thought his delivery was good if felt like HHH was more concerned with kising his own a** and putting himself over than building Brock as an actual threat. This match still does not need to happen. Nothing changed that last night. Its a waste of time for both of them when they could be putting over or at least working with younger talent.
He put Brock over a little but then he went on to put down Lesnar and Heyman in the same breath. You know he and Vince get off on crap like that between family workout sessions.
To me it basically came across as "I'm getting my win back, FACT, and I am overjoyed." He barely put Brock over if any at all and he even stole Brock's ass kicker line.![]()
Anyone else Fandango and Jericho having some sort of ballroom dance of?!
To be honest, I were WWE, I'd work towards getting rid of the WHC. The problem with the WHC is that it's not as popular as the WWE title (and with brand extension over it only plays second fiddle to it), and it's only distracting from the IC title. Brand extension is over. There's no need for two major titles anymore. I'd work towards a unification match and get rid of it. There's so much focus on both that and the WWE titles that the US and IC titles are suffering for it.
I like this ideaI'm calling it now.. I think that Mania we will see Taker continue the streak and at the end of a match that may be close to HBK/Taker caliber that Taker extends his hand out of respect for Punk and Punk accepting it... ending the whole " I deserve respect thing"
I see Rock and Cena in a lackluster match with both guys being booed with Cena getting the majority of the boos. I think that then you get a Cena heel turn and ending the show with a new champ and new top heel in John Cena
Raw will be Punk saying that he got the ultimiate sign of respect in that handshake with the Undertaker and Heyman comes out and tries to "brainwash" Punk. Leading to Punk vs Shield and Punk vs Lesnar(Summerslam)
Cena comes out and says he still is all about Hustle Loyalty and Respect and that the fans still hate it for it and he's tired of it. Cena can feud with some babyfaces, Jericho, Orton, Ryback, etc... Leading to Cena vs Punk at WM30 as the ME

This is it: the bar has been raised. I've been concerned about this for weeks but they've outdone themselves in this fumbling of the beginning of the feud.
Another thing that has annoyed me is that Taker has taken great pride in the streak over the past few years. HE has decided who he faces, HE has decided who is worthy.......but Vickie is given the decision this year? WTF?![]()
I really just wish that one day instead of the winner of the Royal Rumble challanging for the title, they decide to go after Takers streak instead.
What are the dubbing it over with? Goldbergs WWE theme?
I've been thinking this for a while too. The IC title used to be a really big deal. I know that the WHC has history, but that history died when WCW did because that title has only been in the limelight a couple of times when Cena or HHH held it, which highlights the problem of certain wrestlers being bigger than the belts. When I look back at how they push the WHC title now it pales in comparison to how huge the IC title used to be. If they just merge the WHC and WWE title they can keep the same history while using the IC title as a way to highlight great wrestlers who might not be main event material at the moment.
Also they need to bring back King of the Ring. It baffles me how something so easy and extremely helpful just got tossed to the side. Not surprisingly when they brought it back they used it horribly. Damn you WWE booking. You sho iz crazy!
These would be the only 2 potential matches I'd be pissed off for missing. But the rest of that card is not worth trekking to Jersey for.
Re: Best of Nitro Volume 2
Lots of goodies on this set. Its certainly better than Volume 1 such as this gem:

March 23rd 1998. Louisville, KY. Champion Vs. Champion.
The United States Champion, Diamond Dallas Page, walks down the aisle beltless (Raven had stolen it from him during an interview on MTV) after challenging The Man Called Sting for the Big Gold Belt in a PPV calibur bout for this edition of Monday Nitro.
The Icon enters next with an endless gaze with the WCW Championship over his shoulder. After sizing each other up, we get a great back and forth match with lots of reversals in front of a hot crowd. After it was all and done, Sting retained after countering The original People's Champion's finisher with his own only to help DDP get back on his feet before giving the Diamond Cutter hand gesture as a sign of respect before Page returned the favor by hugging the man who defeated him as well as raising the arm of the better man.
15 years later after watching it live and its just as good as I remember it and that's why its my favorite WCW TV match of all-time.
The biggest surprise of this set was seeing quite a handful of Jeff Jarrett matches. Hell, even one of the Blu-Ray exclusives is Double J attacking newly crowned WCW Champion Bret Hart. Despite JJ holding up Vince for more money (and rightfully so) as well as being involved with TNA, I don't think JJ is blacklisted from WWE anymore.
I just wish they would stop dubbing over Goldberg's WCW theme. Sh**'s annoying!
Re: Bret Hart: Dungeon Collection
When Bret Hart had his previous DVD set released in 2005, there was nothing, but brutal honesty from him as well as some unease after burying the hatchet with Vince.
Fast forward to now with The elder, but dignified Hitman picking up where he left off. This time with him having peace of mind. He goes over these handpicked matches (I forgot how good the KOTR match with Diesel was!) before they're shown and he also tells some great stories like a grandfather would about the days of yore.
I really enjoyed this layout and hope for more Unreleased Matches from other great Superstars giving their thoughts on their past work. The presentation ends with Bret doing what any wrestling fan would do: staying at home watching classic matches on a big ass HDTV!![]()
I don't think there are any insults Vince can't take if it means he'll lose money.. plus being butt buddies with Triple H probably helps![]()
He's a guy who has overstayed his welcome, along with many attitude era stars. I think Vince has the wrong mentality when people say they want the attitude era back. They want the look, feel, and mentality of the attitude era, not just the Superstars.
I bet Fandango can't even ballroom dance.Fraud.

This is how I felt when I found out Boss Man wasn't really a corrections officer.![]()
