Survivor is still on?
While everyone was worried about how games looked, Nintendo wanted to change the way games were played. It changed the way the next generation will be defined. From the beginning of gaming, the next gen was about visual improvement. With the coming of Natal and PS Move, it's clear the next gen will be all about interaction and gameplay. That's all Nintendo's doing.
The reason why guns are popular is because anyone can use them. There's not that much skill involved just to shoot one to kill someone. Using a sword or staff without hurting yourself is much harder, not to mention how complex hand-to-hand combat is to master. People just take the easiest route and use guns when they want to do damage.
I'd like to add Beyonce to the list, I seriously dont see whats so great about her. Very average at best in my books
YES! I personally don't understand Deadpool's popularity. And it's made worse by Marvel's insistence that they shove him in everyone's face any chance they get. Shameless Deadpool fanboys.
I don't think he's gonna have lasting popularity though.
It's about this dude who used to be a TV psychic of sorts using his reading skills to help a federal investigator team catch crooks.
I dig it cause Simon Baker's got charisma out his ears and it has two hot girls on it.

Blah blah blah..
People rip off other people all the time...There's nothing original out there. The trick is, how to make it yours. I think most artists have been able to do the latter quite well and they deserve credit for that.

Deadpool's popularity is easy to break down. He's a comedy character that acknowledges his existence as a comic book character. Some people find that interesting, and he's gotten a nice fan base due to that over the years. The problem is that Marvel is now trying to make him the new Wolverine. Kinda the same thing they were trying to do with Gambit. Gambit came on the scene in the X-books like Deadpool, and he got popular before they pushed him too hard like they're doing now with Deadpool. DP will mellow out after a few years, and then go back to having his stable fan base. He might have some backlash, but I don't think he'll ever go away completely.YES! They're a massive equalizer due to their ease of use. Where it could be argued about draw speed, accuracy, and confusing your opponent (we designed a shoulder spring which shot out a flash of light so the user could shoot first), it's largely how even the field is which makes the appeal for a gun.
Overwhelming strength or speed can negate some skill, however, guns don't generally have such a value to worry about. You can't overwhelm or outspeed a bullet.
Around these parts, and back home, I found most people I came across who didn't enjoy guns were more the sword loving type, and were physically imposing. It seemed they mostly disliked guns because it made their natural advantage over the weaker, smaller people nonexistant. I would imagine for those who DO love guns, as much they would like to not have to worry about some large, overpowering figure staring them down someday, it's a comfort to know the opponent has no more to offer than the smaller person does if they are both "packing heat". (Had nothing to do with the post, just felt like posting it. =l)
I was just talking in general. I didn't read your post.
You obviously didn't read my post well or are just that big of a biased Beyonce fan.
I said there is a difference between covering/borrowing something from someone and actually stating that it's yours. Most people do the former...so they don't get sued.
Also, no they in fact do not deserve credit if it's stolen and they claim(like Beyonce)that they made it up and it's original. The only time I agree that it's ok to give an artist/musician credit is if they admit it's a cover or a sample from this person or that band and like you said put their own spin on it.
I don't get what the hell is with the childish blah blah blahs other than you might be a huge Beyonce fan/defender but what she is doing is straight up unoriginal and plagarism/theft. I'll say again, most bands/artists do NOT do what she's doing, they get permission to sample bits of songs(which most of hip hop seems to be comprised off, even from other hip hop artists and not just rock)or to cover an entire song.
That's fine if you think what she is doing is ok and she deserves the credit as well as the money but there are far more talented and original people out there that deserve to be in her place...much like a number of other mediums.

Not true, it's one of Spoons' favorite shows!
The Hangover. I saw it and thought it was kind of lame with only a few funny parts really.
I always thought that Gambit got popular mostly because of the animated series.Deadpool's popularity is easy to break down.
