I know, I don't get it either. I thought he did a really good job, but it wasn't the second coming or anything.

Jack nicholson has shown how to over-do it... (imo at least), TDK's joker was a more 'polished' version for a fact... but other ppl i would say...

actually Nicholsons Joker was pretty close to what was going on in the comics in the mid to late eighties and there are even parallels in B:TAS

there were Batman comics published before 1995....you should look into that

Jack Nicholson wasnt acting. In fact, he wasnt even aware cameras were rolling. The stuff in the movie is just what he does in his off time.

that's The Joker...not that scummy version in TDK, it worked for Nolan...but read the comics, watch Batman:TAS...he does acid flowers, crazy blimps, intricate plots involving Joker fish and exploding dolls, one of the best versions of Joker was in Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker...he had a giant satellite that he was going to use to burn a giant happy face into Neo Gotham
