Looks like we're getting a Ryback/Owens IC title feud. Please oh please put that title on Owens so we can restore that belt to its former glory....

I am just hoping Owens doesn't get injured working matches with Roidback.

yeah because having a great indie worker paired up with the walking steroid scandal works so well before

I'm actually for it now after being on the other side for years. My only demand would be that it become a hard split again and we get brand exclusive B PPV's, that way each brand has more time to develop storylines heading into their shows.

That would have to be the way. But what do we know?

10 years ago, I attended my 4th WWE PPV. Vengeance 2005 in my hometown of Las Vegas. I procrastinated on getting tickets so the day of the show a few hours before the PPV started I asked the ticket attendant what was the best seat available since I figured it was sold out.

Clerk: I have a front row seat that just opened up today.

Me: O_O How much?

Clerk: $200 (Yes, they were that cheap back then.)

Me: I'll take it!

So for the first time in my life on a complete and total fluke of luck I sat on the floor looking up and around at about 10,000 other fans there at the Thomas & Mack Center with the Superstars putting on a Hell of show literally right in front of me.

When it was time for the triple threat WWE Championship match to start, John Cena threw his Chain Gang visor like a boomerang towards my direction. I've always wanted to get something at a show growing up whether it was Bret Hart's shades, Adam Bomb's football, or a free t-shirt. I was a huge Cena fan back then so it was perfect. Me and this huge Mexican male fan sitting next to me caught it at the same time and fell to the floor. I held unto it with my both hands and so did he with a firm grip in this little tug of war. After a few minutes (even though it felt like an eternity) of this, I looked him right in the eyes and told him "I'm not letting go." Then he released it and I wore Cena's hat for the rest of the show. I also had to duck before the main event started because I almost got hit in the face by Triple H's water bottle.

I was going through my WWE box of stuff I collected over the years and found the headgear which prompted this post. ‪#‎WordLife‬

Is Stardust/Ascension going to be a permanent team-up? It definitely gives Ascension some directly and gives Stardust minions, which I like.

Awesome story, Slushy. I hope in November a wrestler tosses merch at me.

There's often a lot of complaining going on about stuff going on in wrestling but what are your highlights/likes/positives about every current wrestling promotion that you watch?

I mainly watch WWE, so for me, NXT has been awesome. Also, there's so much talent on the roster now that I'm confident in the future.

There's no guarantee that's going to happen. Owens has to have actual feuds that are promoted like a big deal. They can't stick him in random matches like they did Ziggler and have him only cut promos on the app.

ROH/LU: the matches and Dalton Castle for ROH (best gimmick today)

WWE: Good matches here and there. Nothing like a hot crowd of 20,000 people. Entertaining segments here and there. Great talent, just not utilized right.

NXT: Compared to the main roster, most wrestlers matter here, even the lamest wrestlers on the roster get a chance and TV time. Crowd is good.

TNA: ummm, the tag titles look very nice. Seriously, that's it right now. This coming from someone who enjoyed the product up until the move to Destination America. Oh, forgot about EC3, that dude is great. I hope WWE gives him another chance.

NJPW has the best wrestling. I only to get to watch the replays on AXS, but I ****ing love it. Shinsuke Nakamura became my number one guy after seeing that reversal he did on Okada's Rainmaker.

ROH has great wrestling, as well. I love that they embrace the fact that they are wrestling company. No ******** cover up.

Lucha's really prideful of their heritage of Mexican wrestling.

Quit watching TNA.

From what I've seen, PWG looks really cool. It's so low budget but the big names and great action make it awesome.

WWE, it's the glossy, big budget, storyline fueled company. They've got the big stars, the history, and the grandest stage.

Top 5 favorite wrestlers in the game:

Shinsuke
AJ
Rollins
Owens
Bray

LU: Everything is connected and there is serious attention to detail. Virtually every wrestler or non-wrestling character has a story. It has a unique presentation. Only drawback is it can turn people off with the amount of fantasy elements.

ROH: Good wrestling and a breeding ground for talent.

NXT: Good matches and good characters/gimmicks. Not as intricate as LU, but great fundamental wrestling stories and an old school feel.

NJPW: Good matches. Completely different feel than American wrestling with it being so sport-like.

WWE: Great roster with good matches often hurt by stupid decisions. Amazing what the wrestlers can accomplish given how inept people running the show have become. People get popular without the luxury of good storylines or promo time. Usually because of history on the indies or being handled well on NXT.

WWE is storyline fueled? Maybe at the top of the card....

I got my WWE 2k13 working again! It had so many created wrestlers I had along with a bunch I downloaded. I did a whole "NJPW invasion" of WWE that was awesome. I also made up a guy who was a former NJPW wrestler who was a huge American heel for the company and everything.

God, my imagination went wild with 2K13

Ya know I always run ideas down in my head for ways to improve WWE in certain ways and I personally think that a good way to boost PPV and live event sales for people that DON'T have the network, is by cutting down the amount of PPVs to 6 PPVs but make the most important ones 2/3 night PPV events.

THEORETICALLY, it would give fans a chance to mentally recharge and not be smothered by filler event after filler event as well as a chance to save money to get either a double priced PPV event or a ticket double pack for both nights.

To really make this idea work as well, you can go with the FULL brand split approach where Smackdown and Raw have different rosters, different championship belts and different presentation styles.

Because then this could be the template for most events:

Night 1: Smackdown

Night 2: Raw

Where both have their top titles as the main events of the night and/or the special attraction match that doesn't involve a title.

For Mania and Summerslam to really push the idea of them being the "Super Bowls" of the company those can be the three night events where it can be

Night 1: NXT

Night 2: Smackdown

Night 3: Raw

So all the events feel important.

Thoughts on all this?

I'm not a fan of brand division. I simply just don't want to have to watch both shows to follow what's going on.

I'd rather that because when one of the shows are pissing me off, I can stick with the other one while pretending one doesn't exist.

I don't know, I enjoy photo essays of shoreline erosion as much as the next guy, but I'm a little disappointed that he couldn't obtain a single unobstructed shot.

Those "obstructions" are more than welcome for me...Easy on the eyes is an understatement :woot:
