My Tyrion Lannister action figure has inundated me with numerous messages via raven requesting that Paige be added to the overall collection. Apparently, he's gone through Wonder Woman, Witchblade and She-Ra already, and is looking further afield.

you should take that under advisement

If Smackdown was a separate entity that was actually good and not ruined by a 70 year old man and his carrot eating sidekick then RAW could burn in hell for all I care. Smackown at 2002-2004 level would make me ignore RAW until the big PPV's.

Who is this referring to? :funny:

– The hottest seller when it comes to action figures among the Divas is Paige, according to the Wrestling Observer newsletter. In general, the women of Total Divas have seen their action figure sales increase considerably. My guess is that Paige is doing so well, in part, because she also got the extra exposure on Tough Enough in addition to Total Divas.

The massive Paige haters on that other forum are likely having an aneurysm and it couldn't be more amusing right now :woot:
It seems like most of them started hating Paige when she got on Tough Enough.

Most of them long before that though whether it was not liking her offense in the ring, her terrible face title reign when she debuted on the main roster or whatever.

Also check your PMs Wheels and Hunter Rider

I like your ideas regarding a possible brand split. WWE could make their current situation work as well, they just forgot how to make stuff matter.

Or they are simply too lazy to try but yeah, having both brands and their different presentations in top form could increase their viewership and demo size for the casual and hardcore sides of the fandom I think and the PPV model could decrease viewer fatigue due to less filler events

When you get owned by "Mean" Gene Okerlund! #ByGod

I'm not a fan of brand division. I simply just don't want to have to watch both shows to follow what's going on.

I dont want Brand division either, but that's because I have no faith in WWE running one show right. Them running two shows badly would be even worse. I could be convinced otherwise though because....

.....Smackdown (up until JBL's reign) was amazing during that timeframe! I watched that s**t show much over Raw, which by comparison was pretty bad, especially with the Reign of Terror.

that would be a short conversation though.
"So man what did you think of the 'insert diva name here' vs. 'insert other diva name here'"
Then my resposnse would be
"IDK I was in the bathroom."

I usually take a piss break whenever the Bellas involved in something.

Yeah the WWE needs more minority presence on the shows, I mean they have it but I mean as far as being made a big deal. [/B]

They need that too. Given their rocky history and their desire to increase their audience, you'd think WWE would try harder to attract minority and female audiences instead of pushing them away.

Do any of the newer games have move-specific reversals? The most recent game I've played is WWE '12 on the Wii and whenever you reverse a grapple, the wrestler doesn't reverse a specific move but instead escapes the grapple itself(front facelock, headlock, wristlock, waistlock) and puts on one of his own. It looks to me like the only moves that have unique reversals are the groggy moves and maybe the signatures and finishers, though I've seen opponents counter finishers by merely shoving you away without the finisher animation even beginning.

I prefer how the AKI games and to an extent, the Gamecube games where a vertical suplex could be blocked and countered into a vertical suplex or a piledriver or powerbomb type move would be blocked and countered with a back body drop.

Nope. I wish they did more with reversals both of them are the same.

I like that stat. It's a shame they've been wasting her so far by having her face and then feeding her to those godawful Bellas on a weekly basis.

The Smackdown/Raw brand extension was great for its time. I don't think it's right for this era. NXT is the separate brand. Just make Smackdown mean something by having storyline development, big matches and main event superstars appearing on it. Going live every week would help too.

IDK, I mean with all the callups coming in and getting caught within the repetitive ass/ass backwards cycle WWE is currently using for Raw to make everything stale, it's probably best to Da a brand split so the different types of talents have chances to flourish without getting "lost in the shuffle".

They could do a "soft" brand split where certain guys mostly appear on Raw or Smackdown, but aren't exclusive. The lost in the shuffle thing can still happen with a strict brand split, I don't know if the split would fix that issue. Still the same out of touch, crazy captain commanding the ship.

Idealistically the pitch would require Vince and Dunn to be less hands on

Speaking of 2002-2004, Smackdown with Heyman in charge:

With all the entertaining stuff going on with Edge, Angle, Lesnar, Taker, Cena, Benoit and the Guerreros....just how epic things would have been if Shawn Michaels would have been sent to Smackdown instead of being the Beacon of Light for Raw at the time?

We would later go on to see the quality of match HBK was able to give Edge, Rey Mysterio, Benoit and Angle but what if he would have been able to also have matches with Eddie and Lesnar or been apart of their 6 man tag feuds?

Oh man...what could have been

I'd rather they not have a Brand split again.

especially now that they've unified the heavyweight belts.

I would like to see NXT get some kind of cable deal, though.

I didn't realize until I just looked it up that Jason Jordan is only 26. The upside on that guy is incredible. WWE needs to eventually call him and Gable (another guy I'm really impressed with) together for a good tag team run before pushing Jordan as a singles star.

Let's be honest. WWE isn't competent enough to do a brand split successfully. It was a concept that was running out of the steam 4, 5 years before they ended it and it would be disastrous if they did it again.

They have several options for Smackdown that don't involve a brand split:

1. Make it matter again and have it be a full time show comparable to Raw.
2. Make it a show for midcarders and bump up the midcard titles.

Either way, I think it making it more match focused than Raw would be much better. Give the wrestlers who don't usually get much match time more match time to help build up their skills or showcase what they got.

All this. I'm real high on the tag team right now. They mesh real well and both look great in the ring. They are both athletic as hell and really show some interesting moves. I can't get enough of Gable's cocky attitude while chain wrestling. They have those little nuances that makes for entertaining characters, like Jordan fanning Gable off with the towel mid match.

Also, "Are my cauliflower ears burning?" Gable could kick puppies after that and I'd still be a complete mark for him.
