I know, in fact there not much anyone can tell me about Norse mythology I dont already know. Mythological Thor was a boisterous, drinking, brawling giant killing barbarian. The comic character was first written as a chilvaric warrior who defended the weak(midgard) and his home(Asgard) He also used mjolnir for more than hitting people ove the head with it. I really like the depth of King Thor and Rune Thor. We had a lot of years(mostly avengers stuff) of a stories written about a brawler with a hammer and thats about as deep as his character went for a long time.Zeu said:"Dignity"?
You do realise mythological Thor was quite possibly one of THE most dense and dumb creatures to ever walk the earth, right?
Loki´s pastime was basically to make a fool outta him.
Lets see if I can explain this so everyone will understand what Im saying. I dont want him portrayed as a bar room brawler with a hammer. I would like to see him portrayed as a warrior with combat exp and wisdom enough to use mjolnir to its fullest potential. Thats what I mean by "dignity". Let a warrior be a warrior, not a brawler. I never said mythological Thor and comic Thor were the same and I never said I wanted them to be the same. I only made casual references that I had read the Norse legends for longer than I read the comics. In fact doing most of my college lit papers on Norse mythology helped my grades.
