mostly fans have watched this movie already. I'm waiting for cinema so im still impartial to judge. But i know alot of you have seen it.

So in your opinion without giving too much away about the story. Is there premises for Wolverine 2, you know something to lead onto. Do you think this movie will generate enough box office to make the studio's think about making the sequel Or do you think that they will now focus on Oh say First Class or Magneto... i was unfortunate to read a bit of a spoiler which wasnt covered about a particular mutant appearing at the end of the movie... which would lead me to believe that First Class could follow.

if they could make wolverine after X3 then they can make a second movie.

ohhhh and lets not forget that FOX is always cheap.so its not hard to make a movie from them.

and lets not also forget that they need those movie to hold on the rights

Sadly, yes. And chances are it's gonna be worse than Origins and X3 combined.

I don't see who they could introduce that would make fans get excited. most of the people I've spoken too are all about Gambit and Deadpool. I think Fox have underestimated almost every other character besides Wolverine. Prior to their announcement there was definitely wolverine fatigue going around. So wolverine goes to japan, are we going to be 'treated' to sunfire? Will the sunfire fans go wild and demand to see this movie multiple times despite how good they think it is.

Jackman has said he loved the Japan stories... I can't see what else is left to exhaust with Weapons X considering what happened with this film and the events in the trilogy. All in all, I think it's a wrap and Origins will be Jackman's last film as the character, which is sad but it's time to move on IMO.

I certainly hope Jackman moves on no matter how big this movie is. He is a very talented actor who should do different things...hopefully good ones because I have not been digging his choices as of late.

We will see a W2 because this movie is better than this print lets on.
We seriously have to quit judging the movie by this pirint.

Unless the entire Movie changes, I don't see the finished version being any better than the unfinished print.

For pete's sake, Logan has been reduced from the Utimate weapon and killing machine, to an experiment to see if test subjects could survive the adamantium bonding process.

I haven't watched the print. Despite cool previews I've always been iffy on the film.

The ending definietly points to a possible sequel, and also plants seeds for future "X-Men Origins" movies.

Well I'll confess that I haven't seen the movie. But even if its awesome I still won't want a W2. I want more (and better) X-films.

One could say so.

Hopefully not.

I've understood that Fox's plan is to greenlit Magneto and First Class (and possibly Wolverine 2 and Deadpool) if Wolverine pans out be succesful.

Whether the Box Office results are bad or good they are already heading to get into pre-production for Wolverine 2. Writers and more are being sought out.

I still think it will make 100 million and will get a sequel.

Watchmen didn't do well at the box office bc the general audience doesn't understand it what so ever. None of my friends understood symbols and themes from it and the comparison is rediculous. Watchmen was too long for the general audience with not that much action like the ignorant perceived, ontop of that the movie was rated R. That takes a huge chunk from your demographic.

Wolverine, and he's one of my favorites mind you, the movie is for dumb action junkies with not much dialogue and a boat load of special effects. I think it will hit a 100 million but that's not that good anyways. If you were to ask me which movie is gonna tank in May I'd say Star Trek.

This movie will still profit enough for there to be a sequel.

WO is probably going to make way more than 100 million - even with the leaked version out there. In fact, I would argue that if it only cracks 100 million it will be a disappointment.
And a little elitist aren't we? Did it ever occur to you that maybe people just weren't into Watchmen? Maybe it isn't them "not understanding" it, maybe they just didn't like it. :whatever:

I think most of the people who just "weren't into Watchmen" didn't bother to even watch it, the underperformance at the BO is a bit of proof to that. As for a lot of(not all, but a lot) of the people who did see it and thought it was "stupid"...yeah, I bet a lot of them in fact did not get it.

Like the book(but not as good of course), the movie requires you to think quite a bit, more so than most comic films. Hell, one of the great things about Watchmen was it's deconstruction of the superhero. That's only something us hardcore comic geeks would actually notice.

As for how Wolverine will perform? I have no clue with how epic this leak was.

Hey if you are new to the boards don't be like this...

Also, I am speaking from my family and friends that didn't understand it. That's 27 people...some are professors in college and all have graduated from college except my little brother who is 19.

And if you read alot of reviews about it and what Zach Snyder said and Ebert about the general audience might not be able to understand it then you would know what I mean. Hell, Ebert said he doesn't think he fully understood it and wants to see it again. So yeah I will flat out say that I don't think alot of people understand it. How many people you know read it beforehand? I know one and he liked it. It was a fan made movie for the fans so that can also be a reason why it didn't do so well...

And didn't I say it was mainly the "R" rating? Yeap...I did.

Probably but not as fast as it was expected to be maybe stuck in development hell I mean how many times do we need to see Wolverine they exhausted all of his moves/poses/mannerisms/etc...

Its always hard to tell, because movies like these tend to stay open-ended. Even in X3, all the info from Fox said that it was the last one, but they still ended with Magneto getting his powers back and Xavier still alive. They just like to keep their options open, and a sequel is always a possibility, even at the end of XMO:W. At this point however, we can't say how likely a sequel would be. There's definitely tons of stories they can tell with 30-some years of Wolverine comics, but who knows if they'll do it? I think it will depend on the performance of the movie in theaters.

I actually know two people who read it well before seeing the movie and hated it.
It is a matter of opinion. Everyone is allowed to have one. What I am against is your implication that those that did not like the Watchmen are somehow less intelligent (i.e. the general public). Its very possible that they understood the movie, but just didn't like it. Just sayin'.

FIRST, let me say that If this was a finished version of the film, I would have NEVER watched it. I would have waited till May and watched it in the theatre

...But after finding out it was a working copy, and not a finished copy... my movie making curiosity got a hold of me. I specifically watched the rough cut so that I could see and compare the differences when I go to the theatre. It was like one GIANT DVD extra.

If anything, its got me really jacked to see this movie (one in which I was only moderately interested in before) Its not because of the story or the action or any of it... I now want to see the finished product to compare and see what they've done differently since that rough cut.

I didn't watch the bootleg to aviod paying to see the movie, but rather to compare the two verions once it is released in the theatre.

I am a superhero movie junkie. I watch and buy almost all of them, to support the genre and ensure that they make more superhero movies.

We won't even have a spoiler forum for the next one until it comes out in case it leaks again

If this makes $1 in profit we will see Wolverine 2 and I won't even bother caring about it because I can say without pause that it will suck.
