Some of my favorites so far are: Running Scared, The Departed, Lucky Number Slevin, The Prestige, Superman Returns.
 
The Prestige is the best film I've seen in the cinema for about a decade.

Most overrated film of the year: BORAT.

Hey Falcone, in my opinion the character of Costello should have been more intimidating and not as showy. How scared we are of Costello determines how much we empathise with DiCaprio (we dont want him to be caught) and with Damon (we dont want him to fail).

Now I think Jack Nicholson is a great actor (in other news Pope is Catholic) and he was very entertaining in the film, but just becuase he "is Jack" shouldn't give him a free pass, IMO. In my humble opinion, a performance more along the lines of Paul Sorvino is Goodfellas, iun other words low key yet menacing, would have been more beneficial. The fact that, as i said, the third act was rushed and when
it was revealed he was a rat as well
slightly harmed the film for me.

I'm intereted in your opinion on this, however....
