I wish Hype members voted on the Oscars.

Ugh!

*pukes*

Some of the replies to this thread are just more proof that a lot of people who post in this forum just see pop-culture Hollywood blockbusters because they're the simplest and easiest to understand. The Academy, which consists of professionals and experts who understand the art of filmmaking and its various categories, awards filmmakers that actually deserve the recognition and appreciation that they don't receive from the general populace, which flocks in hordes to see movies like SNAKES ON A PLANE and X-MEN: THE LAST STAND. Movies like these receive enough attention, far more than they actually deserve, which is why the Academy hardly ever acknowledges them.

No, if the Hype voted at the Oscars, the best picture nominations would be....

Superman Returns
Casino Royale
Pirates of the Carabbiean
X-Men 3
V for Vendetta

Exactly!

Anyway, as I stated in my previous reply to this thread, I haven't seen THE LAST KING OF SCOTLAND, BABEL, CHILDREN OF MEN, NOTES ON A SCANDAL, or PAN'S LABYRINTH yet; I’m going to see LITTLE CHILDREN tomorrow.
