oooo your from england....this makes sense

V For Vendetta, Lucky Number Sleven, Mission Impossible III, Miami Vice, Superman Returns, Nacho Libre are all films I thought were good that I saw this year.

I haven't seen Clerks II, Borat, Crank, The Departed, The Prestige.......but I expect them all to be great.

And, of course.....CASINO ROYALE. I think if it's as good as I hope....it might be my favorite of the year.

Crank is pretty sweet, by no means best movie of the year, but when its all said and done could wind up in the top 25 possibley

Crank I thought was amazing!

Best action movie I've seen in a long, long time.

i know it wasn't released in american theaters, but try to rent or download District B-13, i loved crank, but i think DB-13 is one of the best action movies made in the past like 4 years

Best of 2006:

World Trade Center
X-Men The Last Stand
Find Me Guilty
Inside Man
The Illusionist

1) A PRARIE HOME COMPANION

Without a doubt, number 1. One of my favourite films period, not just this year.

The remaining 9, in not much of an order:

The Departed
Inside Man
Borat
The Prestige
Crank
Slither
Thank You For Smoking
Mission Impossible 3
POTC2

I saw Descent, Proposition, and V for Vendetta all last year, so I'm not counting them, but they would be on the list if I had seen them this year..
Never saw Little Miss Sunshine, but I'm sure it belongs on this list.

Edit:

I'm noticing some questioning of Inside Man... Inside Man is not a heist movie, but rather a discrimination film.
It's the film Crash should have been, but instead was beaten over our heads with a blunt stick.
If Inside Man was just a hiest movie it wouldn't be anywhere near my list.

1. V for Vendatta
2. Superman Returns
3. Children of Men
4. The Da Vinci Code
5. Pirates of the Carribean 2
6. Step up
7. The Covenent
8. Australian McBeth
9. Cars
10. John Tucker must die(I actually walked out of this one)

The Propesition was too gruesome for me. I was really enjoying it until the last 10 or so minutes with all the violence against women stuff.

X-men 3 doesn't even count as a real film, it was that bad

1-The Prestige
2-The Da Vinci Code
3-Mission Imposible III
4-POC: Dead man's chest

i think dead mans chest was alot better then i think it gets credit for, if you cut out that 10 minutes of Jack Sparrow portraying Loral and Hardy, i think i was really good

the only films i've seen this year are Clerks II, X3, and POTC: DMC(damn Knightly's hot as hell!!!)nothing else really appealed to me....but bond will be seen soon....

i'll see wicker man on dvd, same with world trade centre....

anyhow...

1. clerks II
2. POTC: DMC
3. X3

i expect bond to take the 2nd place spot...but nothing can beat clerks II...randal is just all kinds of awsome in that movie!!:D:D

I'm getting really worried about people here, POTC2? X3? Were different versions of these films freleased in america? Versions that were good? Cause when I saw them, they SUCKED REALLY HARD!!! POTC2 is one of the worst films I've seen this year in cinema's.

They don't understand what makes a film great, they don't recongize great dialogue, acting, pacing ect...The dialogue/acting in Casablanca sounds no differant than dialogue/acting from Superman Returns to them,It's incredible frustrating I know. Here are my top 10 films of the year so far that i've seen.

1.The Departed
2.The Queen
3.Flags Of Our Fathers
4.Little Miss Sunshine
5.Thank You For Smoking
6.HollywoodLand
7.The Prestige
8. n/a
9. n/a
10. n/a

How about letting people decide what movies they like they and not have elitist knuckleheads like you berate them for their choice.

Yeah, or they have a different opinion than you and aren't arrogant snobs that dismiss opposing viewpoints as inferior.
What makes a film great is subjective to the viewer.

Yet sadly, still a masterpiece compared to the first two.

X2 was way better than X3, no contest.
