Tim Burton Developing ‘Addams Family’ Series, 'Wednesday' Starring Jenna Ortega

They could have Deep Roy as Cousin It.
I like it, of course I have liked him ever since his turn as the Oompa Loompas.

Burton's take on the story is better. I could watch the Coco bean scene like 100 times for Depp's WTF hilarious performance.

Or the senile grandma who says random stuff on top of so many other things.

Wednesday Addams Live-Action Series From Tim Burton Ordered By Netflix; Al Gough & Miles Millar To Showrun

It’s official: Netflix has landed Tim Burton’s live-action Addams Family series with an eight-episode order for a spinoff focused on the iconic character of Wednesday Addams.

Titled Wednesday, the coming-of-age comedy, written by Smallville creators Al Gough and Miles Millar and to be directed by Burton, is a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. That’s where she attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships.

I'm excited for this. Seems to be a good mix of people working on a property they clearly have alot of affection for.

Looking forward to see who they cast.

Sounds like the plot has been reworked as I remember it was originally supposed to follow a grown up Wednesday in present day.

She's investigating murder? Doesn't she relish in it?

will this series be neat, sweet and petite?

It takes one to catch one.

I love this. I wonder if as it's Netflix they'll stick to their 'roster' and have Millie Bobby Brown as Wednesday?

I think casting will be up to Tim Burton in the end. I'm sure we'll see a few of his regulars as the adult characters/teachers?

That would definitely be interesting.

Ricci would be perfect for Morticia, so hopefully there is some truth to this.

I am very happy about this. She has the perfect look and she is a pretty decent actor already. Well I am officially hyped! :D

She definitely has the look for Wednesday and specifically as a Tim Burton lead (ie. big expressive eyes like a silent film actor).

Just give me Ricci as Morticia. Perfect evolution.
And I loved both of the movies, though my only gripe with Values is that the main plot was just a redo of the first film's.
