The March Hare looks pretty ****faced.

His face has the same expression throughout the movie apparently, that's why. It's funny and creepy.

Awesome pics love the cheshire cat one.:woot:

Um, I haven't seen 'Alice in Wonderland' in a long time, but who is that mouse character?

March Hare looks creepier than the cheshire cat because those eyes make him look like an actual rabbit just wearing clothes.

This would be my #1 anticipated movie of 2010, better NOT disappoint! :)

Loved Tim Burton's most other works, so I have high hopes for this too!

Fantasy will always be my favorite genres (It often works well with Sci-Fi/Adventure), as I have a vivid imagination, so I think this perhaps THE Fantasy movie of 2010.

I was very hesitant about this because well Charlie and the Chocolate Factory sucked. But after seeing the trailer in 3d yesterday when I finally saw Avatar this looks absolutely amazing! I was blown outta my seat and will definately be checking this out in 3d.

I liked Charlie and the Chocolate Factory overall, but I see the same problem here as I had with that movie: Burton is focusing too much on the oddball character being played by Johnny Depp. I know focusing on the weirdo outsider is kind of Burton's thing, but it doesn't always work.

But I have seen a lot of really good Burton films for the first time recently like Ed Wood and Sweeney Todd so there's a good chance I will check this out too.

agreed...i though Charlie and the CF was OK at best but nothing great. This though, i can see being alot better since it isnt directly a re-make of a movie from scene to scene. It looks like he used references from the Animated movie and original story but put his own spin on it.

I know I'll be in the minority, but I don't see this happening. Depp is obviously the biggest name in the movie, so of course the trailers will push his face forward more in the trailers, but he pretty much had the same amount of trailer screen time as HBC, while Alice had just a bit more than Anne Hathaway, but that's how studios publicize their movies so that people will go see them.

I would feel it was being done only for the trailers had he not tried to make Charlie and the Chocolate Factory more about Willy Wonka.

Well to be fair, the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was more about Charlie, so Burton just did something different with the story.

Burton stuck closer to the book. The main thing I had against the film was that he just straight took out the whole "Theres no earthly way of knowing" part. I saw it in theaters and first thing I said was "If he takes that part out Im done with this movie" I mean I can understand why it wasnt in there but I woulda loved to see Burtons own little spin on that but all we got was a trip down the hershey highway. Pun intended

why happened during that part?:wow:

I thought the new Wonka movie was boring and focused to much on Willy.
And it wasn't really that funny. Wonka didn't even play by his own mentality. Hes creeped out by kids if they touch him, but during the tv scene he taps Mike on the shoulder to grab the chocolate :whatever:

it seems the original just took the book and enhanced it, with music and more lively situations.

It's ironic how Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is more about Charlie while Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is more about Willy Wonka.

And yet neither is really about the chocolate. :woot:

I said that when it was coming out, that "I bet Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will be more about Wonka".
Cause Hollywood is usually assed backwards about things:o

whos with me who thought that the 'boring' parts of Willy Wonka was in the first half, and the fun parts were in factory WHEREAS in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, it was the opposite; fun first half, boring factory second half..

yeah I agree somewhat.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, was boring the second half. The actors just stood around when there kids were being caught up in the factory, there wasn't much life to it.

Am I the only one who thinks this looks pretty lame?
