Maybe Burton and Depp should stop making movies together for awhile. In the long run this codependency is going to hurt both of them. Burton definitely needs to try and experiment with other actors rather than always using the same lead. I heard the last movie he did without Depp Big Fish was really good.
Ironically, that was one of the few movies I ever saw in the theater that made me walk out mid-way through.

i'm starting to think Tim Burton is a 'Has been'
Alice was so BORRRRING.
i WOULD HAVE WALKED OUT IF I WASN'T ALONE : /
The girl who played Alice had no life to her.
the story was Horrible. The 3D gave me a headache..
and underland?? what was the point of that? And what was with all the eye jabbing/poking scenes...movie was just boring..
My thing is it felt too modern day, didn't feel out of place though, just didn't like the style of dance or music used.
And there were no talking eggs.
So how would you rate this compared to Burton's Planet of the Apes/ Mars attacks?
better? worse? or around the same.
aLICE is as bad as Planet of the Apes, Catcf is probably better than both but just by a smidgen...
Burton is better as a designer he's directing has lacked...and story telling awful...
He's not saying he wants the movies to be the same, he's comparing and contrasting the overall quality of the films. And what's wrong with that? People do it all the time.I just don't understand how you can compare or why you would even want to? Just because it is the same director, you wouldn't want the movies to be the same. I feel like if the films were similar you would hear people complaining that Burton has no originality and if they are different than people insist on ranking the films..

The Hatter's dance was totally Disney's idea...come on, you know it was.
I think Mars Attacks! is underrated....it was a decent parody imo.
i dont think it was diesney's idea. this looks lik best friends making fun on the set.
